For Colombia, it's pretty good.

This year I have been to about 15 countries, mostly in the Caribbean. Yes it's only April. Colombians will say San Andrés, Santa Marta, or Cartagena is so beautiful. Most of them never left Colombian and have no life experience to compare their beaches to. This beach is OK. Like others have said the sand isn't fine. It is like... More

The beach was awesome, you need to take a boat to get there. I payed around 50 thousand pesos. There is only one restaurant, good food but expensive. The sand is not real sand, it is like big sand ( little rocks).

While the beach was close to the major hotels, it was rather dirty with the litter left behind by the day's visitors. There were motor boat tours around the area, including the lighthouse. You can rent a cabana and chairs for under 10,000 COL

Playa Blanca can only be reached by water, there are boats that ferry people back and forth from the Rodadero beach, it is crystal clear waters and very fine near white sand. Great place if you are looking for sun, etc. only draw back is there is no vegetation at all and shade is hard to come by. However, for... More

After being very disappointed with beaches in cartagena, this was a very nice surprise. It is a rough, dirty road to get to the beach area, but once you arrived you will find a stunning beach area. The hawkers can be a little annoying, and the beach facilites are little, but the beach is stunning and well worth a viist.

The water is so clear and blue. It was slightly cold, but we were still able to jump right in in February. Beware of the sand-it is probably the hottest sand I ever experienced. You will need sunscreen here! There are lots of people trying to sell stuff, but it makes it fun. We got the massage girls to give... More

The beach is great. It is busy in parts but you can walk up to quieter spots. Do not expect luxury beachside restaurants and top notch facilities. There are hostals with simple facilities but that is all part of the fun. Just enjoy the beach and the water. There are hawkers but a simple no makes them leave, or try... More

I would recommend not to go there on weekends, it is really packed. Its a very touristy place with people being next to each other very close. However they have some great food there and lots of locals to meet. When you take a boat, make sure they give you a ticket for getting there and the return.

Liked the boat ride to the beach as you get to see a few good sights. The beach is great but a bit crowded and lots of people hustling for cash but they move on quickly if you show no interest in whatever they are selling.

it really is a very pretty beach...and you can find some great seafood...with feet in sand and a beer in hand...it's hard to beat. Cracks me up that some of the local old guys will damn near force you to eat an oyster when you get off the boat...and then try and make you pay 50 mill for it. Try... More
