AP Boardwalk is unlike any other boardwalk. It's wide boardwalk has an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars food trucks, shops: all privately owned and unique. In summer and fall: the place hums day and night with drummers, magicians, musical trios, bon fires and movies on the beach. Every time I go, I find something new: Ice cream shops, music. The outdoor... More

Short notes of my experience: - Loved the old casino - Cool how we can just walk through it like its part of the the boardwalk - Wish it had more to offer as in restuarants, gift shops, etc. But the places there now are great. - You can feel that vintage vibe by seeing the casino, Stone Pony rock... Plenty of shopping, places to eat, amazing restaurants. Less busy than other regional boardwalks. Cheaper beach badges and really kid friendly. Lots to do for kids and grownups. It will pleasantly surprise you.

On New Years Day there is a fund raiser for local charities. It's run by the Sons of Ireland, on this day there is live music and lots of fun. I guess about 5000 people in dead of winter having a great time.

The Asbury Park Boardwalk is what I am rating as average. The beach "ocean" gets 5 stars. I'm a native of the "Jersey Shore" not the JS as portrayed by the Offensive MTV non-realty show. The boardwalk features one after another of high end shops. It lacks your average "beach-goer" attractions. The best place on the boardwalk was MOGO and... More

Great place to go for a walk during the day! Revitalization of Asbury Park needs to keep going! Such a great shore town but much of it is still in need of A LOT of work!!!

I love to walk Asbury Park's boards. The ocean is just close enough, there are restaurants to suit every taste, and you can always enjoy the people-watching. Nearby are the Stone Pony for music, the teacups for toddler water park, and Madam Marie for palm reading. Oh, and a great beach!
