Hot Sand is the country's only glassblowing studio where you can try glassblowing. Just stop in during our scheduled Walk-in hours, pick from our array of objects, choose your color and design options and we'll pair you up with a glassblower. You will sit with the glassblower throughout the creation of your piece and use your own breath to blow it up!

I have visited and shopped here since they open on the boardwalk, always interesting things going on and really cool art glass to admire, or buy. I go every year for some cool ornaments, also going to inquire on taking a class..

We have come here each year since it opened, getting our daughters hand or foot made into a memento. As she has gotten older, now 9, shes moved to blowing her own pieces -- a glass ball, and this winter a glass egg. These folks are a delight. The young staff have a calm careful air about them and its... More

We took our three kids here for my daughters birthday, ages 9,11 and 13. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and very detailed explaining each step of the process. Each child picked something different to make and all came out really nice. They also have quite a bit of blown glass on display that you can purchase if you are... More

Make your own glass creation. Great for all ages. Fun, reasonable. Bring home something nice and original.

We came to Ocean Grove specifically to take a class at Hot Sand in sand casting. Nick was simply amazing. We learned so much in 3 hours. But it's also a agreat place to go for just a little while -- especially with children. They'll be mesmerized by making a sand cast of their hands, then seeing Nick pour molton... More

Hot Sand was an unexpected find for us. We never imagined stumbling upon a glass blowing studio in downtown Asbury Park that would allow kids to see and experience how glass items are made. Our boys loved it! The store owner and employees were very friendly and patient teaching our kids how glass is blown. The kids got to be... More

I took my mom here for her birthday. She always loved blown glass and wanted to try it but didn't want to take a whole art class. This was perfect! We walked in during open hours and picked our projects, colors, and patterns. She made a bubble and I made at cup. We had employees that walked us through the... More

I grew up in a town that had a glass blowing studio and gallery, and I always loved watching the creations bubble and transform from fire into crystalline, colored works of art. When I saw Fire and Sand listed on Yelp and in Trip Advisor, I decided to take my family for a visit, and to let my son try... More

WOW...We love Asbury Park roller derby girls, they are great fun in the rink...but Hey HOT SAND....That attitude will get you far in the rink but not with MOMS of kids on Christmas break that come to your place for service and get nothing but bad attitude!! Totally unprofessional and rude staff there. Owners Thomas and Paul must have been... More

A beautiful gallery of handblown glass pieces for sale as well as a unique opportunity to create your own glass art.
