A whole night of myths and legends, supplemented with educational experiences where visitors who participate approach the interesting world of plants and animals. Legendary characters as La Llorona, Buffalo Bill, Medusa, the Madremonte, forest fairies, El Sombrerón, among others, return to stage the incredible stories that come to life during the Feria de las Flores in Medellin. Good for families... More

My family and I recently spent a delightful afternoon at Medellin's Parque Zoologico Santa Fe. Although one would expect a larger, more modern zoo in a city with the size of Medellin, Parque Zoologico Santa Fe is relatively small and antiquated. Having said that, this should not prevent a family from having fun there. The park is located on 2... More

Quiet oasis in the city center full of interesting trees and plants. A few exhibits have been updated to be more modern but most are still cramped cages and the big cat exhibits were especially depressing. The butterflies and the large tiger were highlights. Worth a visit to help out as they are working toward modernizing the place for better... More

I did not hear many positive comments about the zoo, not even from local people. But I was pleasantly surprised. The zoo is well maintained. They have a good variety of animals, especially monkeys, wild cats and birds. While the zoo is a bit more old school with many cages and less fee space for the animals, one actually gets... More

Wow! This zoo is so cool! The cages are right there and so are the animals. Beautifully landscaped grounds and lots to see and eat!

This zoo had a fantastic selection of animals. It is also very cheap to visit and only cost us 9000cop which was approx £3.50. My only problem with the place is that the enclosures are very small. There seems to be a lot of land surrounding the enclosures so I don't understand why they don't extend some of them. A... More

I've been to some desperate zoos but this was pretty good; it's not Regent's Park at all, and some of the animals are in pretty shabby quarters, but it's a little oasis out of the city.
