Interesting exhibits, but made better by the tour guide Guillermo, who offered himself for hire in the courtyard after we bought our entrance tickets. Especially recommended to have a guide if you don't speak Spanish, since the signs are in no other language. More

There's about 15 minutes worth of material in this museum, and it's definitely not worth the 14000 pesos. The descriptions of the inquisition items on display all say the items were not used in Cartagena, so I don't see the point. Standard torture items you've probably seen before in much more comprehensive torture museums. Also, almost no descriptions in English... More

An old colonial house with charm and elegance, but telling a tale of horror - it was surprising that the Inquisition lasted so long in Colombia, right up to Independence. More

There are interesting exhibits on instruments of torture used in the inquisition. Also some fine models of the city of Cartagena and buildings therein in various stages of construction or renovation. Although I speak and read some spanish, it would be nice for the many anglophile visitors if some english descriptions were provided. More

Awesome because this museum is very well kept, with tons of very creepy objects from the Spanish Inquisition. Not because the Spanish Inquisition was not cool, not at all. But go see it and learn from mistakes humans have made in our long history. More

The inquisition museum is located in the bolivar plaza in the old city of cartagena. It is the house where the Spanish inquisition used to judge and punish presumed witches and heretics. The entrance fee is about $7US and they have some of the torture machines for display and the entrance fee also includes the upper level which has history... More

The building and artifacts inside the museum was a reminder of a dreaded time. It was just sad and ironic the museum contained so many displays of how to torture another human being. More
