Dive in the numerous sites provided by Islas del Rosario and Barú. Outstanding are Bancos de Salmedina, Bajo Burbujas, and the “submarine mountain”, with a predominance of candlestick, feather, and black corals; the nearby banks of Ferrocemento, El Faro; Octubre Rojo, Pendales, and Isla Tesoro, at the north cliff; and to the south, El Aparecido and La Coca, where whip... The calm of the island and the ambiance are great. The place to go for relaxation. Let the world go round as you relax on the beach. Take a boat ride and visit a nearby marine sanctuary.

You will see peoples' reviews of this island archipelago that cover the spectrum from good to bad. I read them and made my choice to just book a day-trip to Isla del Sol. It was simple and peaceful there. A nice day trip, even though the beach is not much, and the place is not fancy or new. The setting... More

the water here is incredible and its so beautiful but im not a big fan of lots of people and this place is crowded which kills it. They take you out to an island you spend most of the day there they feed you yuo can buy drinks that are overpriced, at the end of the day they pick you... More

The combination of antique Cartagena with the exclusive and tropical Islas del Rosario is the perfect holiday combination. The trip to the area is much easier and much more enjoyable by boat/ yacht than by road. You could do it as day trip when you rent a boat or spend the night at some of the few accommodations which often... More

We booked from a travel agency called Rabbit Tour in the old town. Kind of tired of ambulants and hawkers and a little suspicious about their offerings. The agency prepares everything for the same price with a pick up courtesy. We booked The Isla Encanto day tour. The schedule is a little narrow, but organized. They managed to take us... More

Yes, the ocean is turquoise and beautifully clear. But the lunch stop involved tourists eating while malnourished children with swollen bellies hover nearby. Ouch.

If you're looking for a fair relaxing day, the trip to Isla del encanto should perfectly fits! We did all from hotel front desk, same price as local agency in town. Bus picked us up at 8:15 as planned, boat left at 9:15. Although we were told would be a 35/45 mins trip to the island, it took a bit... More

I booked this tour via Hotel Villa Colonial as they had a deal with one of the operators. I had heard some horror stories about some operators, so though it best travel with the recommended. In the end it was a great day, whereby we got to see the locals fishing en route, accompanied with a nice meal (salt fish),... More
