If you're considering going to Islas de Rosario, you're in for a short but enjoyable trip. The islands are simple dots in the ocean with many unfinished homes/hotels, however, the nearer you get to the Acuario, finished hotels become the prominent feature.
If you're looking for a secluded get away, the islands will offer you just that, but be aware...

We spent one day at Islas del Elencanto and I do not recommend that setting, but the snorkeling on that trip was superb. The facilities at the "Hotel" (which is really a hostel) are not particularly nice. The beach is tiny and...

This is a OK beach. What is the best is the local folks that sell food. We had grilled lobster and it was the best we ever ate. The furniture at the hotel is outdated and needs updating. They also need to repair the retaining wall along the beach.
