We loved it. Took lots of pix. Amazing view of the city. The little church is cute. The courtyard is full of flowers and makes for some great photos. Try and negotiate a deal with a taxi driver to give you like a 3 hour tour. Go around Bocagrande, then to Manga, then to the Convento then to the Fort... More

We had a great view of the city from the top of the hill of La Popa. From there we covered every direction of the city, and could differ the modern area from the poor areas, which unfortunately are the largest. More

Beware of outside seller, overcharge water, etc. Take a tour guide inside the monatery. Interesting. More

If the weather is clear, it is the highest point in the city to take great pictures. Church is a fairly quick walk through. TAKE A CAB. The route up and back is considered dangerous as it is in a very poor part of town. More

This old (17th century) monastery is located on a hilltop and can be seen from any point in Cartegna. We took a bus ride up to the monastery - and enjoyed the views. The small chapel with its ornate 22k gold altar and museum were nice, but I felt it was about the views. More

The view of the massive city and bay below was the highlight for me. The church itself and accompanying buildings are interesting. Lots of vendors on the way in but they were not too aggressive. More
