Honestly, I didn't think I would enjoy this place as much as I did. It alway seemed a bit touristy. But a place like this deserves at least one visit. We arrived at 10:30 on a Saturday night. the place was getting very full but we were fortunate to get one of the last tables. The band didn't start playing... More

A few years ago I rated this place a 5, so on booking a second trip to Cartagena I was looking forward to another night out at Cafe Havana. The website said it all: February 13, 2015, Orquesta Manhattan dirigida por el maestro Néstor Bermúde. Great! (so I thought). First I spent a few hours of preparation by downing cheap... More

I liked the Pina Colada at this place. It is very conveniently located close to other bars and restaurants.

Great Cuban live music all night, very typical place similar to places in Cuba, great atmosphere, price quality ration very very good. A must visit if you are looking for night life and dancing.

Bad service: waiters who didn't even want to give us a table at first. Live music was good but took ages between sets. Near drains so overwhelming smell of sewage. Continually unpleasant service. Music good but atmosphere so lacking that the waiters had to encourage people to dance...in Colombia?!?? Waiters took our drinks before we finished. Creepy place...wouldn't set foot... More

Cartagena doesn't do tourist traps well. Just like Cafe Del Mar, we decided to go just bc we had read so many articles about it and the reviews on Trip Advisor were generally good. We went on a Thursday at 11:00pm as that's when we were told the band would start. We paid the 15,000 entry fee per person and... More

This is definitely the best bar in Cartagena as far as atmosphere goes. Always crowded, live band, great Cuban-themed decoration (legitimately Cuban, not Communist propaganda Cuban). The cover is expensive, but its worth it for the live music which will get you dancing. Only problem is that it's a bit too crowded, so if dancing is your thing, you're going... More

It was a great place to either dance to the live salsa band or just sit back and listen. The drinks were reasonably priced too.

Great Salsa Band. Fun Place and Well Decorated. I felt like I was in Cuba. Staff was friendly and place was full of energy.

My friends and I spent a wonderful evening dancing the night away at Cafe Havana. The music and the energy in this place were unlike anything I had experienced in a very long time. It was such a fantastic evening - dancing, drinking and meeting new friends. The bar started to get really crowded around 11:30 PM or so and... More
