The tejada's cat is an sculpture made in bronce, donated to the city in 1996, because the City plan of river recovery. Ten years after the Commerce City Chamber gives 15 complementary sculptures known as the "cat's girlfriends" that were given to 15 artists as a base for their creations. Original collection of cats beautiful statues. Each one has its own name and history. Wether you love cats or not, it is one of the artistic symbols of the city of Cali and it is free, so just just go for it! At worse it will only be a short walk in the shade along the river, nothing bad...

Just in front of El Peñon and just across the Colombia Avenue, you must stop and observe this master piece of sculture, a black cat stand over the river bank. behind there are a wine bar and also a jazz place, and pizza shop, all you need to enrich your soul and body

It's something you can visit in 4 minutes sharp. A bunch of "artistic" cat sculptures by many artists. In a green area next to a noisy high trafficked street. However you won't find much more to see in Cali, so enjoy it slowly!

This is a great place to stop by in Cali. Specially after they put the female cats, the place got a much better looking. It is safe, relaxing and cultural.

We are biased. We love cats. We have a beautiful Siamese kitty, and love cats. We love what the artist has done with the works and captured the many personalities cats have! Well done and fun! MEOW!!

Yes it's just a bunch of painted cat sculptures... but it's a long a really cool river walk, and if you can read some Spanish, the signs that explain the meaning behind the cats make it worth the walk. Grab some ice cream from Ventolini (right across the street) and then stroll down the river looking at the cats. Makes... More

I would suggest you visit it with another plan. There are many nice restaurants nearby. If you are in Cali it is good you go see it but don't expect much. We went to see them when we returned from our visit to the city's xmas lighting decoration.

This is a great place for a 10 min walk and some pictures. It is safe and there were young policemen guarding the area. What is hectic is the traffic and the crossing of the street. Nobody stops and there is no designated crossing zone for pedestrians.

I booked a tour through Marvel Tours Cali. My bilingual tour guide, Oscar, took me to this park along the river. The Gato de Tejada was very neat. It was nice to see local artists exhibiting their work in a permanent, well maintained, location. Each Gato has a story and all of them are unique. A few of the Gato's... More
