Need support and money to grow their offering. Animals are not in the best possible shape. There are people that even stole animals like the iguanas from the zoo.

The Cali zoo is a clean, well kept zoo with a wide range of animals both native to Colombia and from around the world. It has a nice aesthetic with lots of flora growing around the exhibits and a good number of animals including iguanas, peacocks and local birds wandering around outside of enclosures. I did have some concerns about... More

This is a very well organized place with a wide variety of animals and interactive spots where children have the opportunity to meet local animals and learn how they live and behave. I could say this site has the level of well renamed zoos in the world. You can find nice restaurants and a lovely store. Highly recommended

The zoo had plenty of well-kept exhibits with a diverse selection of animals. It was clean and priced right. I would recommend going earlier in the day (arriving before 10am) or later in the afternoon when the sun isn't as hot so that you can experience all of the animals moving about.

Well, I'm afraid that I was rather disappointed in this Zoo. The overall flora? Is beautiful. MOST of the animals? Just looked bored &/or distressed. I felt sorry for them. They just paced back & forth in their small enclosures. We enjoyed the different food/snack opportunities throughout the park & for the most part, the park was pretty nice. I... More

The zoo itself is quite beautiful, clean and well organized. However, the Halloween guided tour was amazingly beautiful filled with breathtaking theatrical scenes and characters. My 6 year old loved all the cultural spooky srories which were told. A different way of having a great time on a Halloween nite!

i really liked it just by the fact of the most important thing that you're looking for when you go there (animals) are being treated very good, their "homes" are clean, they have everything, it seems that they're comfortable. There are permanently police officers around the zoo and the people (including the staff) are very gentile and friendly.

Well designed, maintained, and enjoyable zoo. The collection of animals found in Colombia is excellent, as well as the international exhibits. Its a bit hard to reach - taxi is necessary - and there is no english (which is understandable) but the wonderful animals speak for themselves!

Very well cared animals, beautifully organized, there are strollers for kids, you can watch an amazing white tiger, snakes, poisonous frogs that are unique in the world and more. Enjoy

I don´t generally like zoos. Zoos make me sad, because I feel that animals should not be locked up in cages. The Zoológico de Cali is no different in that aspect. However, they do do almost everything else right. It´s a pretty, tropical zoo that hosts lots of endemic Colombian animals and does a good job of explaining. You can... More
