Not the place for me. To me it was just a bunch of trees huts and Chinese structures. To my wife it was a place where she learned about all this Chinese poetry from her school books when she was young. Definitely an interesting place for her not for me. I definitely felt like the banana hill billy who didn't... More

Not really the place for me, though there are some nice scenes for some photo snapping here and there. As mentioned by others its all about chinese poets and poetry, and being not able to read any Chinese, really couldn.t appreciate much, though there are some English translations.

Been there quite a few times, the garden is always nice, but the house itself is not much of an attraction. Dufu's quite a local celebrity, so if you're into Sichuan culture it's a good idea to visit the cottage.

This attraction is listed twice, under two different names. This is the actual cottage of the DuFu's Thatched Cottage. The reviews for DuFu's Thatched Cottage should be merged dinto this. The cottage itself is very humble, no furniture remains, of course, but the very old kitchen, and you can have a bit of fun trying to figure out what the... More

A lovely Garden, inspired by the great Chinese poet Du Fu - read his works even in English, and for an uplift also read Li Bai

The grounds are very well maintained and have an artistic feel to them. Knowing little about the poet, I was mostly taking in the grounds and looking around the souvenir shops. This attraction works well as a part of a day of activities in Chengdu. The kids there looked like they were having a great time!

Very touristy and typically selling you something every minute, but still a nice excursion. Dufu is one of their chief poets - not a very happy life (one of his children starved to death) but interesting, and a lovely setting

A nice stroll through the park grounds, coupled with relatively good signage about the VIP visitors to DuFu's cottage. good for kids.

I made a trip to Dufu's Home. It was not really interesting as I am not familiar with this history and was not knowledgeable in chinese poems, except for the ancient relic of the pots and presume location of his house location, the Home is just so so. Further more, the existing house build is too modern to be of... More

If you've read some Du Fu or know about him, this will give you an opportunity to see where and how he worked. If you don't know him from Adam, this place will probably not be of interest to you.
