This is a very popular park, very busy, very touristy at its entrance next to the stadium, but it thins out and you can get off the beaten track a bit. The cherry blossom had just come out and everyone was photographing themselves in front of it or even taking photos of the blossom itself. I went to the zoo... More

We visited in April during cherry blossom time. It was a nice sight and there were lots of people, still it wasn't crowded. It's a pleasant getaway from the hectic of the city.

go in spring and see the cherry blossoms, summer and see the waterlilies flowering, this park is huge and takes many days to explore. A great place for a picnic or a relaxing walk. nice restaurant by the waterlily garden - dont bother with the zoo - amusement rides for kids open til late in summer.

Looking for the entrance to the park we came across the Buddhist temple which is lovely and we'll worth the trip. On entering the park itself we were approached by a lady selling tickets for the cable car ride which we took to the other side of the park. This was a lovely area with monuments relating to the Olympics... More

This is a big and popular park for the residents of Qingdao. If you are going, do avoid weekends and public holidays, as it will be packed with people and you will not be able to enjoy yourself. Having said that, it is a nice place to take a walk. If you like flowers, make sure they are in bloom... More

We went to the park on a day when the weather wasn't good enough for the beach - but perhaps it wasn't good enough for the park either. we could really find much to do. The chairlift is really expensive - 100RMB for a round trip. I have been to much nicer parks in China.

Liked the rides and there was plenty of variety with rides and activities, even in the cold winter. Also liked the frozen lake within the park.

A great park to walk around in. Big and can see the Qingdao TV tower. Nice when the cherry blossoms are out.
