Jinan is known as the City of Springs. This spring park in the center of the city boasts of 26 acres allowing more than enough to do for a day. I felt the peace the minute I walked through the gate! Bring a picnic lunch! You will enjoy seeing the locals come and fill their bottles with spring water. Come... More

This is the best daytime trip we had in Jinan. The springs are tranquil and beautiful, with that romanticized Chinese style. As other reviewers have noted, it's not cheap during high season - so best to go between October and March. The whole experience is worth about 60-90 minutes max.

The Baotu spring park has a really relaxed vibe. although i recommend not going in the weekend due to the huge amounts of people. The small gardens and the springs are clean and nice to spend your afternoon.

We were there during the Dragon Boat Festival so it was a bit crowded. We still had fun walking around. Kids/babies will occasionally just go the bathroom wherever they are standing. I think cities and public places need to curb this as it makes the area stinky and not fun to come across. This was typical of all public places... More

Nice park for relaxing and escape the hustle of the city. Lots of springs and water as well as some small gardens and museums. Nothing special but good enough to unwind.

In the hustle and bustle of Jinan city centre, escape to an oasis of tranquility. Cool ponds and streams induce a sense of peace, beautiful to spend an afternoon. On the downside, the museums don't have enough English info, and you would only use the bathroom in a dire emergency. At ¥40pp, entrance fee is not cheap

We enjoyed our trip to the springs but we made the mistake of going there during a public holiday, so it was incredibly busy. There is a lot to see in the park and we especially enjoyed seeing the 'old-fashioned street' with a traditional opera house. The water weaves its way through the park and in places, there are stepping... More

My first visit to the city of springs and the Number One Springs. It's a popular place as witnessed by the many people there on a sunny afternoon. Beautiful park setting with historical sites interspersed throughout. A nice boat ride around the canal is a must include part of your visit. There are some shops but my favourite was the... More
