We live near this park and enjoy walking over there in the evenings or weekends. It is pretty with willow trees and bridges but there is no grass area to sit or play on. People exercise in groups, skate, scooter, play ping pong, play their instruments, dance, sing and practice tai chi. There is a children's play area with a... More

I came to this park early on a weekday morning (5:30 - 6:30am). It was only a 10 minute walk from the Traders Hotel. There were lots of people walking, running, doing Tai Chi, etc, but the park was still relatively empty. I didn't see any other westerners, but that wasn't any cause for concern. The park was clean and... More

This park is BUSY on the weekends. I'd avoid it at that time. During the week daytime and even many evenings it's a great place for kids to unwind and it's generally not too overpopulated. There's a section towards the southeast corner where musicians often gather to play.

It's the best park in Shenyang, although it's not big as the other parks that are available in Shenyang. The park offer a great surrounding, relaxing, with live music in night time, people are dancing, you can also do some strength workout etc. If you want to run, then do it in day time because in night time it's too... This park was right near to my Hotel, and just off the main high street. I found it very relaxing to wonder around in the mornings, there was so much going on, Traditional Dancing, Ball Room dancing, old and young together which was great to see. The garden's were being replanted whilst I was there so next year should look... More
