The best area to walk around and enjoy the lake is probably Li Gong Di. Lucky for me, it's only 10 minutes away. It's free, clean, and has a few restaurants. I can't recommend any particular places, because restaurants have a way of opening for a while, then shutting. Despite the beauty of the area, it's hard to get established,... More

Walking by Jinji lake is great and love the restaurants around. It get cold at night these days. Had dinner a Regalia Thai and was very good. I definitely will come back and probably also run around the lake.

This is probably one of the best lakes with beautiful landscape and sculptures I have ever visited in China. The best of all, it's FREE, not like many other places in China collect entry fee. Moreover, it's clean! Most ideal place for a family get-away or couples to have a sweet date :)

Jin Ji Lake has become the place to be for people looking to take a quiet stroll or get a meal. There are many restaurants and bars around the lake with the majority located in Li Gong Di.

Jinji Lake is in the heart of Suzhou and easily accessed from multiple points in the city. It is a great place to go for a walk or jog, or to sightsee the spectacular landscape and buildings in Suzhou, day or night. There are a multitude of good restaurants on the western shores, as well as on the northeast corner.... More

The lake is so big, there are restaurants, pubs, and beautiful park and landscape by the lake. Locals like to spend their leisure time here. There are also nice jogging and cycling path here, great place for some leisure walk and activity. What I don't like is the air pollution of Suzhou was quite serious most of the time. Visit... More

Many restaurants, shopping and cultural activities have open around the lake. There is a park and a board walk where you can get exercise. Many people walk their dogs there too

We visited the Jinji Lake in a rainy day. No much special things to see there. We felt it is just a normal place in a modern city.

At the moment there is a big construction ongoing and it is not worth to visit. Especially the area around Dong Fang Ze Men is dusty, dirty and a big construction place

Jinji Lake is now surrounded by modern buildings and activities. On a clear day (getting fewer and fewer), you can get amazing views on almost any side of the lake. My favourite is at the Li Gong Di dam on the south side of the lake. There are a number of very high quality restaurants there that will give you... More
