Very pleasant walk. Was amazing to see a large area in the garden with very tall trees , no branches. No matter which angle you looked through, the trees were always in a perfect line!

Nice park to take a walk, but I didn't see anything really special about it. I also didn't like the dirty water and polluted air.

Beautiful landscapes, traditional Chinese buildings and a peaceful atmosphere. This is a must see. Try some of the local lotus.

Having spent lots of time cooped up on planes and buses I really enjoyed my walk around the lake. I got in a decent 10km and the views were lovely. I have visited many lakes in China this one struck me as quite clean.

Do you like the sight and smell of dead fish? Do you like watching old people spit? Do you like to see polluted water choking out the life of aquatic animals? How about trash and litter strewn about in a way that resembles a landfill? Then this is definitely where you want to go. Spitting, dead fish, bad smells, all... More

Beautiful serene walk along the lake and through forests with temples and happy, joyous people spending time with their family.

We got a nice drive around the lake on our way to the botanical gardens, which we never made it to, due to some obstruction in the road, maybe accident, but along the way there and back it was very beautiful, would be nice, but I imagine even more crowded, in the spring and summer.

It is ok... not great. If you are in Wuhan, have a look. If you are not in Wuhan, don't go for this.

Sometimes you feel like your body needs cleansing from the hubbub of city life, the East Lake is the place to do this. We paid to enter the East Lake Scenic Area and then took a golf buggy style ride around the main sites. Unfortunately we were on a tight schedule as part of an organised trip and did not... More

East Lake in Wuhan is huge. I believe it's one of the biggest lakes in China, and you can tell. It's very peaceful, at least in January, and you can take hours to walk around the area. There is a beach area and an area that is buoyed off if you would like to swim in the lake. I did... More
