Beautiful idyllic place in a buzzing industry city

Beautiful idyllic, relatively quite place in an otherwise very loud city. A good place for a long walk.

This place is good for hiking, cycling and walking around with friends or lovers. In the end of 2016 wuhan city will finish constructing a road for cycling around east lake. So now you could get from one point and back. Should be cool.

It's surprising how large of a lake this is but I was surprised by the amount of development and how many roads cut through this lake. It's at the least worth a visit.

Wonderful place of Wuhan, a lot to discover. Good spots for picnic and long walks. Chose good seasons for that. Don't miss the Lotus flowers!

The lake is big and you can take guided water tours everywhere. I came accross these old guys fishing and ghey used these super long, telescoping poles, never saw fishing like that before. We ate at a touristy restaurant where the seating was amoung a big pond and the food was realy good. I wish I coukd tell you the... More

So close to the hustle and bustle of the city is this peaceful water retreat. Prefect for a day out. Make sure you go to the side where the villa is that Chairman Mao once stayed at if you want to avoid the crowds. There are trails for biking which would be a nice way to spend the day.

Very quiet and relaxing. It also has a sweet floral smell throughout the park area which smells so wonderful. If you want to relax and enjoy peace and quiet away from all the people, it's a good place to visit

Very huge lake with lot of greenery around. You can take a boat ride to cross the river from one point to other. Climb an adjacent hill and go to the top..nice view all around.

The lake is easily accessed from the Hubei Museum area and provides a pleasant relief from the busy city. There are many trails along the water, temples, and even some fine dining. At the end of the line, there is a gazebo and little boats come that will carry you to the shore near Wuhan University. The fishing area with... More
