What a beautiful lake/park area! We were pleasantly surprised with our lovely outing to East Lake. We were able to take a golf cart type ride around the lake area and stopped at the main areas to explore and take pictures. We loved looking around and feeding the fish. We had a great family day here and would love to... More

While in China, our group learned to dragon boat race in the East lake, but when some of our group asked if we could swim in it (it looked so much cleaner than the other water bodies in China), the university (Hubei U of E) forbid it because they said it was dangerous. I wouldn't visit this lake unless you... More

This lake, that might be better described as an inland see is very big. There is a road around the outside shore and another road that actually runs through the centre of the lake, however at the moment they are building a tunnel under the lake so many roads have been diverted from the original route and fences and barriers... Though the view was somehow blocked because of tunnel construction but our guide took us to a nice place where we could enjoy the nice air with calmness all around. Nice place to visit.

Nothing so special. Its really big. You can call it sea instead of lake. You should not come to wuhan to see that lake but if you are in wuhan you should see it. There are watersports like parasailing. Sitting around tge river is peaceful. It also has an aquarium and a botanic garden near the park. Its for wuhan... More

Benn there, took a boat tour by dusk. Plluted place as everytning else. As you´re in Wuhan, where no touristics things, could be something. I recomend you to go to Han Street by late afternoon, and from there take the boat

East Lake is massive and there is loads to do there. It's difficult to review a lake as it is basically a body of dormant water. If you live in the city then it is a nice place to visit as the watery bits have no buildings on them. I played airsoft (which the locals call CS, after CounterStrike) and... More

The lake is good a quite and short evening stroll. It is not as scenic as the West Lake of Hangzhou though. A lot of lotus flower can be found along the lake side, but it is winter time and they are all withered. It must be a magnificent sight in summer. On one side of the lake you can... More

Beautiful natural scenery, but unfortunately due to the deterioration of the environment management and development in China, resulting in equally serious impact. Wuhan tourists need to stop and find a good place, sitting in the lake slowly realize. There are near Wuhan Botanical Garden is a good place for leisure.
