This was a very interesting and pleasant museum. For those that truly enjoy history, you can see and learn a lot from the English translations. The exhibit rooms are set up really well and when I went it wasn't too crowded. I really loved learning about the Tang dynasty and porcelin. I spent about an hour here, could have easily... More

A highlight for me was the concert played with ancient Chinese instruments. There were many objects excavated from tombs. There were some Stone Age objects as well. Zhengzhou is in the cradle if Chinese civilization and this museum helps you get a feel for that.

I enjoyed this museum because it wasn't overwhelming. It was a good size to get through in a couple of hours although one could wander for many hours. There were videos in Chinese but the exhibits had English translations. This gave me a good idea of what life was like in Henan centuries ago.

The importance of Henan Province in Chinese history is not so well known. This museum will give you an idea. It can be hard to conceive of the enormity of it all. This museum is large, but not overwhelming and looks very cool on the outside.

Drop a visit while you are at Zheng Zhou. It is an interesting museum with many antique from China's ancient period. You can imagine yourself living in the past just by looking at their collection. I particularly like their ancient mirror collection made from bronze. Although if you are a foreigner like me, you probably don't understand the significance of... More

Fabulous museum, very big, stretches over 4 floors. There is an entrance fee and a gift shop and a very impressive entrance hall. The museum explores the history of the area and has some fabulous examples of archeological finds from the area dating back centuries. The objects are beautifully displayed, and they give guided tours in English. You really must... More

The building of the museum is nice and original. Inside, there are plenty of interesting exhibits. And everything is written both in Chinese and in English, which is great. And the entrance is free. Unfortunately, quite far away from the subway.

Excellent exhibits on Chinese history and culture showcasing many of the archaeological finds from Henan province, the birthplace of Chinese culture. The building in itself is remarkable. If you can time your visit just right, there is a concert featuring Chinese folk instruments that is enjoyable. Admission is free but passports must be shown to get the tickets.

Henan has 3 of the 7 ancient capitals of China so they have many treasures from all dynasties. It's a nice building shaped like a pyramid. They have a ancient music performance that you need to pay extra to get in but worthy.

Looks really cool from outside. And inside it is surprisingly big and clean. There are good things to see from the Shang dynasty. Recommendable.
