The festival is broken up into 3 sections now and each is 300 RMB, a pretty penny for locals. If you are on a budget, stick to one park and do it thoroughly but if not go at a quicker pace to see all 3. BUNDLE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The whole snow world is beautifully decorated with ice sculptures and some of the sculptures are made so delicately with very fine carving which is wonderful.

There is some confusion with the naming of the events. This is the Snow Sculpture Art Expo. and not to be confused with the Ice and Snow Festival. Located on Sun Island Park it is a vast parkland with many sculptures together with some snow activities such as snow slides for children, sledge rides, husky rides and an interesting folk... More

We enjoyed a daytime visit to this park, not crowded nor as popular as Ice Sculptures. Long walkway with huge snow sculptures beside. Get hotel or travel guide name to show to taxi driver, as some are not as familiar with taking tourists there. Walkway is very slick, warming hut at the very end is nice, take tram back out... More

I would recommend to visit at daytime. It is certainly not as spectacular as the ice city event but also is impressive and some of the snow sculptures really beautiful.

As you enter in this garden,( of course you have to pay ) the entry itself is very clean. Then there are battery operated cars that takes you in side the park to see and so on. To travel in that car you have to pay money. There are many carving from snow very big and small., including that of... More

This place is also called Harbin Sunrise Island and it is located next to the Songhua river. I went there in the morning with a local guide and it was one of the most amazing expereinces I ever had of all my travels in China. As you enter the main entrance, you will be welcomed with a very soothing musics... More
