Was not very fond of the beach area here as I have been to pristine beaches in Philippines. But for a first visit its alright. Much more activities in the Philippines.

Sanya Bay is charming and commercial with a lot of local people trying to sell different things. This is not the best beach if you just want to relax but it is very interesting to stay here for a few days. Water quality and beach quality are not the best, compared to Haitang Bay for example. Would definitely recommend a... More

The first time we were in the Yalong Bay 13 years ago. Then it was really paradise. This beach was only 6-7 Resort hotels and the prices and quality of the rooms were much nicer. Now, and the beach is dirty and a lot of people, certainly not so much as in Italy at the beach, but still too much.

This bay is a place to visit if you have never been to sea. There are other beautiful beaches in Sanya i.e Yalong Bay , Dadonghai and Wuzhizhou beach...

I've been coming to Sanya Bay since 2006 and I've never experienced the excessive crowds, "painful sand", dirt (except to the extent that all sand is "dirt") or smells noted by others. I suspect that they may be visiting at other times of the year. (My visits have all been during the period from February to May.) Last month (March),... More

Nice view of boats and wrap of the coastline. Do not wear open sandals or go barefoot without having toughened your feet first, the beach consists of broken shell and it hurts! Water is murky, for clean water go to West Island.

this side seems more organized and clean to me, at least in the time i was there this part was the best for me. Water gets deep relative fast so a good swimming skill is a must or take close care with your kids the waves are high and strong

No, this beach is not for me. A lot of people, and the beach is dirty. The best advice "Yalong Bay". There's only 5 and 4 star hotels and most of the beaches Resort. Quiet, calm, clean sea and Coral sand. What else is needed?
