coming from southern China city of Xiamen, a visit in a lush tropical park full of trees is always a welcome. that's why, even though this place has nothing spectacular, a brief walk in the afternoon is somehow enjoyable. head up to the rim of the dead volcano and you can see an overview of Haikou, or what is 50kms... Fantastic air at the top of the volcano. Great view that makes it worth the climb too! There are some very funny-looking trees that will make you laugh. Take a leisurely and climb to the top of the volcano. The tranquil park will calm you and the scenery at the top will bring you peace and tranquility. There are learning... More

Quite far from the city and the tickets are overpriced (RMB60). Have to hike to the mountain top but a bit disappointed.

A great day out for all the family the volcano can be hard work climbing to the top but we'll worth it to see the views back over to Hiakou. There were many varieties of butterflies fluttering around which was great to see

This park is well-maintained for Chinese standards, and as of April 2013 was 60CNY per person, not a bad price considering the size of the park. Most signs are bilingual, there are adequate washrooms and the view from the top of the caldera is breathtaking. Recommend the park for anyone visiting Haikou, even though its a little far outside the... More

Huoshankou National Geopark is tourist destination in an inactive volcano. the scenery are remarkable, a combination of Chinese traditional culture, Modern architecture and Natural scenery. Prepare to hike, to reach the mountain top.

I avoid going here unless I'm being comped by a client. The tickets are ridiculously overpriced for what you get. I'd rather wander around the surrounding villages.

Travelling by taxi to Huashankou is a breeze and it takes about RM50 to go there. Upon arrival, it is not what we expected. At first sight, the place is not a mountain, just an ordinary park with many signages of Huoshankou - The mouth of volcano. The one signage which impressed me is the one `carved' with reddish plants... More
