I have another flight ticket to Haikou, so I surely would come back to this small city and this food stall again. Enjoy the affordable food, especially Baoluo Noodle.

The price here is reasonable. Compared that to sanya , which will be more expensive by two to three times. You need to purchase a prepaid card first then use the prepaid card to buy the food. You can refund the card when you are done.

Great place to try all the local Hainanese food & delights here under one roof - pricing is also reasonable, compared to Sanya which is 2 to 3X more expensive. Good environment and ambience, too, compared to eating at their local coffee shops.

As a typical Singaporean, i have seen more variety in any food court back home but this place is Epic. From western to local to seafood, i couldn't even make up my mind on each to eat and what to start with. After i Top-up 200rmb in the card, me and my lady went berserk gathering a table of yummies... Went into the Food Street on a Sunday afternoon and it was bustling with people. A great place to experience local cuisine especially the various types of sea food that were on display. Definitely a recommendation for anyone who is in Haikou and willing to experience local delicacies.

Our first stop is Qilou Snack Street since we need to st settle lunch. We are attracted to the Qilou architecture since it has a mix of European design. The center of building is filled with tables and chairs which are occupied at night. It is busy with locals and tourists. We love the stall selling steamed oyster. The porridge... More

As you may have noticed most of the city centres of china were demolished in the 60,s and 70's with the odd exception of a temple here and there. More recently the government has built new old city tourist areas, Well haikou is different as you can see there is quite a lot of buildings from the 1900's Infact the... More

The variety of shops and food outlets catering to all kinds of tastes and needs. The place can be extremely crowded especially more so during the weekends.

Cool architecture with the distinct flavor of Sino-Portuguese Mercantilism. As the government pours money into the restoration and gentrification of the area, what it will turn into remains anyone's guess but, strangely enough for China, the published plans look really god.
