It is a statue

If you are strolling along the water area, driving by in a taxi or a bus, you see it. Keep going. Nothing really worthwhile here.

Picturesque spot for a "Kodak moment." Big boulders to climb on. You might be asked to join a group shot if you are Caucasian - don't worry, the people are very friendly sporting English slogans.

This is a beautiful place in Zhuhai. This fisher girl is one of the legends of Zhuhai, and visited by many tourists.

I have an apartment about 1 kilometre away from the Fisher Girl. I never ceased to be amazed by the number of tourists that visit the Fisher Girl in all types of weather. I have deliberately walked along the beachfront in Xianzhou to see why tourists are attracted and fail to see what it is. Of far greater interest about... More

This is a nice place for a walk along the shoreline but not much else to do here other than take your picture with the Fisher Girl statue.

Walk along the lovers road to find this great attraction. Offers stunning views of the estuary and a good photo opportunity. You can arrive by 99 bus from Gongbei or the city centre. Well worth a visit.

The Fisher Girl is maybe themost hyped up icon of Zhuhai. Thousands of people flock there every day to get their picture taken in front of the Fisher Girl, with the polluted ocean and the polluted sky sometimes not showing enough visibility to observe where one meets the other. There are almost no taxis in the area, so once you... More

It's a well-known Zhuhai statue so I went to see it. It's not that impressive, but anyway it's a Zhuhai must see. Very crowded during daytime you have to be creative if you want to take photos. Night time might be more interesting. Water is dirty, but you don't have to swim to see the statue anyway.

I went there during night time so my experience might be different from those who went during the day. Some of the pictures I took turned out too bright due to the lightings and if you look at the water closely it is quite dirty.

We went there because we thought that it was an impressive monument, but it is not really breathtaking. It is too small and it is far from the photo zone. Just go if you have not other thing to do in Zhuhai.
