Description: This reserve offers a great antidote to the hustle and bustle of Shenzhen...
This reserve offers a great antidote to the hustle and bustle of Shenzhen (not to mention the city's many theme parks). Rent a bike or do some bird watching or just spend time on the boardwalk admiring the vistas of the city. It is the only nature reserve in an urban center in all of China.

Visited in NOVEMBER 2012, this reservoir houses 60 tons of water to supply nearly the whole city of Shenzhen! But this reserve can also be a great place to take a promenade and breath fresh cool air along the bay! Ideal cyclists can also come and ride their bikes. The most amazing place to be when you're lonely and needs... More

Great possibility to have a rest or go biking and jogging at the water side. There is no way to go to the water, it's only a waking and biking way.

This is a nice place to walk and enjoy nature, but if you´re looking for a calm and desert place, this is not for you. The place was crowded, noisy and dirty.

...to walk , have a Rest or make a bike tour at the huge Promenade ! If you don't have a bike you can rent it (single, tandem, tridem (with the kid in the middle) , but also kid bike). We ride usually the hole coast until Shekou/Peninsula. Depends on you're condition ,ride an hour or even the hole day, but... More

One of my favorite ways to exercise and relax while in Shenzhen. It is a well built and maintained park that many enjoy walking and riding bikes. It follows Shenzhen Bay and can see the bridge and Hong Kong on other side. Plenty of areas to stop and take rest . There are also shops to purchase snacks and water.

Been there with my wife and 3 yrs old son. The place is really a nice walk with good scenery. You can see to the other side to Hong Kong. The problem we had is that on that day the wind blows from the sea and the water have a horrible sewer smell. If you don't mind it its a... More

Most of your reviews are of the concrete strip along the bay, not the Mangrove National Park, which is a great birding site nearby. We certainly saw the birdlife, having been allowedin, but had no knowledge that you had to book two years in advance to visit and that the site is only open in the mornings. Is that really... More

Lovely mangrove covered bird paradise hosting many egrets, fishers and other marine birds. Free to visit but suggest avoiding weekends and holidays to avoid the crowds. Walkway and cycle path run along the coastline of the bay and are lined with tropical plants and trees.

This place is quite close to East Quiaocheng metro station but a bit difficult to find and to reach. However, this is the right place to have a relaxing walk (or you could even rent a bike) during weekends, even tough it is very crowdy. Still you can enjoy the view, take photos and look at the islands of Hong... More
