Having read reviews from 2007, I was afraid to expect anything better than a smelly, cramped and depressing slum. Wonder of wonders, the Shenzhen government has really put some resources into the facility, and the difference is like night and day. Our party included a person who had been there 20 years ago, and for that person it was like... More

The zoo is in good condition, the animals look good. For RMB 20 you can take a bus around the zoo. For RMB 50 you can feed the tigers (totally worth it!). The only thing is that not many people speak english and the ATM doesn't work for foreign cards. It's easy to find a taxi when leaving the zoo,... More

Its called Shenzhen Safari park. Entry is bit expensive but lots of animals and well kept Zoo. Check for Dolphin show and Tiger safari timing which happens in afternoon. They take you in the tiger area in a caged bus. The tiger come over from all side.

This is a fun day out. Set in a beautiful fairly well groomed park the animals appear to be very happy and well managed so no disappointments. The Pandas were a delight to watch - fun playing and eating whilst the highlight is for s small fee to hop into a caged truck and drive into the Lion and Tiger... More

The park was clean and tidy, not very many people around. It was quite nice to walk around but did look a little run down. I was only there for a short time to visit the Panda. He seemed Ok and was awake and playing which was nice. Its worth a visit if your in the area, i may go... More

I will not say that it is the best place however it is a decent place to visit specially with kids. Most of the Animals are in good shape, the atmosphere is very nice. So many things to do, lots of shows. I was not very impressed with Dolphin shows though, it was below average.

This park is great. Take the subway to University Town station. Park is about 1.4kms from station but a nice straight walk along the main road. Park will be indicated on top road signs. Everyone loved it. Plenty of animals in good shape and very close to see. There are some free shows but check the times. Best way to... More

I don't share the bad comments on this zoo. What is the main thing you're looking for in a zoo? Animals? in good shape, in great diversity and in great number right? Well that's exactly what you'll find in this zoo! Yes the equipment and decoration on some parts might seem a bit old but the animals are beautiful they... More

This zoo is great if you want to br hands on and feed different animals including tigers. It is not up to the high standard of an international zoo and needs some improvements. We feed lions, tigers and elephants. Worth it

The zoo brought back memories from the 70s! The place was dated and some bits deserted. However, I do enjoyed the shows and feeding the tigers. We paid RMB20 per person to get access on the buses that take tourists around, but they were not in sight frequently. So we ended up walking A LOT! Glad we went, but once... More
