Not sure why there are so many bad reviews of this place. Easy access using public transport (even for English people). Entry was reasonably priced at 200 RMB for an adult, you only have to pay extra to do activities such as feed or interact with the animals which there was no pressure to do. The animal were all in... Shenzhen zoo is Nanshan district, can take metro to Xili station and further take cab - about 15 mins drive. It is nice place, but ticket price (RMB200) is not worth it. Park is non smoking with designated areas for smoking, still can see Chinese people smoking all over park. Animals seem to be underfed and not clean. Many enclosures... More

Recently visited the Shenzhen wild life Park. The park its self looked very tired and in need of repair. Many enclosures were concrete or gravel. Didn't watch the show as it involved trained bears and we all observed some abuse of 2 bears away from public view. That was enough for us.... Park took no credit cards for entry, meals... More

This place is huge! Great day out - we were there for about 4 hours. Lots of things to do including interacting with the animals (feeding them, you could ride them - although we didn't agree with this at all..). Majority of animals are in good conditions with lots of space but some are caged too small - some monkeys... More

Having read reviews from 2007, I was afraid to expect anything better than a smelly, cramped and depressing slum. Wonder of wonders, the Shenzhen government has really put some resources into the facility, and the difference is like night and day. Our party included a person who had been there 20 years ago, and for that person it was like... More

The zoo is in good condition, the animals look good. For RMB 20 you can take a bus around the zoo. For RMB 50 you can feed the tigers (totally worth it!). The only thing is that not many people speak english and the ATM doesn't work for foreign cards. It's easy to find a taxi when leaving the zoo,... More

Its called Shenzhen Safari park. Entry is bit expensive but lots of animals and well kept Zoo. Check for Dolphin show and Tiger safari timing which happens in afternoon. They take you in the tiger area in a caged bus. The tiger come over from all side.

This is a fun day out. Set in a beautiful fairly well groomed park the animals appear to be very happy and well managed so no disappointments. The Pandas were a delight to watch - fun playing and eating whilst the highlight is for s small fee to hop into a caged truck and drive into the Lion and Tiger... More

The park was clean and tidy, not very many people around. It was quite nice to walk around but did look a little run down. I was only there for a short time to visit the Panda. He seemed Ok and was awake and playing which was nice. Its worth a visit if your in the area, i may go... More

I will not say that it is the best place however it is a decent place to visit specially with kids. Most of the Animals are in good shape, the atmosphere is very nice. So many things to do, lots of shows. I was not very impressed with Dolphin shows though, it was below average.
