This is a great way to view these lakes. Took one with the wife and her friend and videoed the whole thing! It's funny but every photo/video one takes in China comes out looking like it's overcast outside! The smog is so bad in most places there!

The place is nice and clean compared to other parks in the city. The lake and its park lay in the heart of Huizhou which makes it reachable from many routes and directions. There are many walkways ranging from big main ones that are surrounded with the water to small walkways through trees and traditional themed shops. Absolutely a nice... More

Nice place to walk in the end of a busy day, inside the city, near to everything in huizhou, it is easy to access, good atmosphere, plenty of trees composing the trial in the middle of the lake. And to end the day a lot of good restaurants around

After living in Shenzhen for nearly 6 years, I thought it was about time to visit the city of Huizhou. I'd seen countless brochures selling new house in the area, and it looked like the biggest satellite boom town in the area. We took the 1.5 hour bus ride there from the Luohu bus station. Cost of the bus was... More

Comparing to Hangzhou West Lake, Huizhou West Lake is compact and delicate. Its lotus pond is so amazing beautiful. It is a peaceful and relaxing place to enjoy the sunset there. You can also have the chance to share the joyful gathering with thousand birds returning from their hard work in a day.

This was my first trip to China, and was for business. We stayed at the Kande hotel across from the West Lake, which was very nice. And had a free day to walk the West Lake area. It was very pretty, and I would recommend the walk around it.

I have not been to the West Lake for a long long time. My mother was from Huizhou so we used to visited this lake in the past. This year we went to see it again and were glad to see most of the facilities were renovated. Some bridges were renovated in 2012 and they were still doing work on... More

There are many entrances to West Lake, since West Lake is actually several lakes joined together by bridges. So before you go, you should take a look at the map and check their website to see what you would like to see. If you have not been to Suzhou you will quite enjoy this Chinese garden 惠州西湖丰渚园, at one of... More
