Great campus, whatever you do you must go to the long tunnel and see all of the graduating clsses art work. It is a must see. Take time to walk around the pond and see the buildings

Lots to see and do around the Uni with great places to eat and catch up with friends. The surrounding gardens and streets are very attractive and worth a visit. Great shopping and lots of good transport.

If you have time, have a look into the campus grounds of this famous Chinese university, but try to avoid a public holiday. There are penty of nice alleys, a long wall with graffitis and it's close to one of the more attractive beaches of Xiamen.

Was told I must come to visit Xiamen University as "it is voted the most beautiful university in China" and "you haven't been to Xiamen until you visit the university". That set the bar pretty high. When we got there, there were hoards of people waiting to go in. During the weekday (or when there are classes) there are set... More

A very nice campus. Very relaxing and good for a nice walk, but there's nothing to do here past that. I do not want to neglect that there is a lot of history here and also that this is a top university..... But from an American tourist's point of view, there's not much to see here.

It's too crowded and touristy! I stayed five nights in Xiamen City but during my stay I was not able to find a time where the university is not so busy to visit! Chinese local tourists come in groups and the place is busy all the time!

Great place to visit. Actually a really beautiful campus. I recommend going here to check it out for an hour or so. There are some beautiful views, and palm trees, also a lake and a graffiti tunnel that you won't want to miss

Was told this is a must visit in Xiamen but to be honest didn't find it that interesting. If you do visit make sure you take photo ID or they won't let you in

It is hard to trace when this university becomes a tourist site in Xiamen, reaching a point where there is quota for number of visitors that are allowed each day. And they can only conduct the visits at certain time during the day, needless to say that identities are verified each time. What’s more, a new business has surfaced as... More
