This university isn't even 100 years old so the architecture is nothing special. The campus is reasonably big, however I don't recommend you buy the map as the campus as some English signage.

It was cool to have a chance to glimpse student life in China, and there are interesting buildings and a lake and park within. You'll need to show some form of ID to gain entry, but we were not charged a fee.

Nice and piece place to walk with your love one. Better take your camera or even ride a bike in the school.

Don't forget to visit the historical tunnel at the ned of the xiamen university. Inside the tunnel you will find street art and post cards sticked to the wall.

This place is massive! Navigating through the campus can be a challenge. However, the parks are beautiful. An ideal location to stroll with loved ones. Please visit this location during weekends as weekdays, it is limited to 700 pax per visit and visiting hours begin from 12 noon. Not forgetting, a valid ID is a must which serves as an... More

Two of the main attractions in Xiamen are Nanputou and the University. The best way to see both is to head to Nanputou early in the morning and walk right up the top of the mountain so that you can see all of the Unversity and then head down and take an afternoon stroll inside with a better idea of... This university is a popular spot to visit for Chinese tourists and it is adjacent to another must see place in Xiamen, Nanputuo Temple. The campus is located on a mountain: it has lake, reservoir and tunnel. It is a nice place for walk and to have a look at Chinese University Students life. There is a canteen for visitors... More

The campus is huge and, if you enter through the main gate, they'll register your ID. There's a lot of development going on which can be on the way of seeing all its charm but overall we liked the place a lot: the old buildings, the lake, the lush tropical greenery, the atmosphere which is not easy to find in... It is a beautiful campus - sprawling and peaceful with a lake in the middle. I spent a quiet afternoon here and had lunch in one of the campus cafeterias. There were no security checks as some have mentioned and it's easy to get taxis outside the main gate. Good place to spend a relaxed afternoon.
