Nice old wooden fortress 1h south of Punta Arenas. Recommended! Best to get there by car or by organized tours. Albatrosses can be seen on the cape. Puerto Hambre is just next to Fuerte Bulnes. What more can I write to fill up these 300 word mark??? Mmmh...i do not know...why do i have to write 300 words? More

It was cool to be on the southern tip of continental chile. The fort is interesting, but suspect interest level depends on the guide related history. Recommend the guide from Frieda Lange company, Franny was great. More

Given that Fuerte... More

The only problem is with the gift store... they are very expensive, a shame but the toilets were excellents. A guard told us that next... More

The reconstruction of Ft. Bulnes, named for the Chilean president during the time of its construction, is well done and affords the visitor a realistic (as opposed to Disney Land) visit to mid-19th century Chile on its outer extremities. If you are interested in Chilean and South American history it is well worth a visit. Ft. Bulnes is located on... More
