Nice old wooden fortress 1h south of Punta Arenas. Recommended! Best to get there by car or by organized tours. Albatrosses can be seen on the cape. Puerto Hambre is just next to Fuerte Bulnes. It was cool to be on the southern tip of continental chile. The fort is interesting, but suspect interest level depends on the guide related history. Recommend the guide from Frieda Lange company, Franny was great. More

I like were the Fort is located. The place has been reconstructed in the XX century based on the one of mid XIX century. Is a good experience the though of those who lived there.
