After reading some reports on Tripadvisor about how Tara Boat Tours was superior to other floating village tours I booked a half daytour. When I booked the people at the travel agency in Siem Reap told me they were too expensive compared to the other floating village tours. They showed me ither companies that did tours for $15 per head... More

We chose to go on the tour to Kompong Khleang, instead of the Chong Kneas one, as our hotel advised us that Chong Kneas had become very touristy. It is a bit farther away and the tour is more expensive, but it was well worth the drive and the cost. Our guide, Mr Soupond, was fantastic, and the village on... More

We were really looking forward to our trip as we had read such good things about it. We were picked up half an hour late as the traffic had been bad apparently, off we went to the lake, we were part of a small group. We arrived at the 'harbour' and boarded a small boat and off we set up... More

We had a great trip, although we were the only 2 people on the trip, and so we had the guide and the boat all to ourselves - very decadent !! the trip started at 8 am by being picked up by the guide and taken to the boat port in an old but air conditioned car. There are many... More

I went on the half-day (8am-12pm) floating village tour by myself in early December. I was only able to do a quick half-day since I only had the weekend there and still wanted time to see the temples. The half-day tour starts at 8am and there's about a 30 min drive out to the river, where you hop on a... More

Seeing the floating village was one of my favorite parts of Cambodia. Totally different to any lifestyle I had seen before. And the friendly guide was eager to talk about the history and culture and had grown up just down the road. The tour around the village happened on a smaller boat and then stopped at the larger Tara for... More

I have been on this tour 3 times, because it is part of a group tour that I have participated in each year. I happened across some negative reviews this year and I felt obligated to respond. My experiences have all been excellent. We have been picked up on time in an air-conditioned bus and dropped at the embarkation point,... More

It poured for the first, the small/ long boat broke down numerous times but it was worth every cent just for the laughs, sites and extremely memorable adventure. More

We did the half day tour to the vietnamese floating village. We were picked up on time from our hotel and right from the start our guide was friendly, accomodating and gave lots of information on the way. There was only 5 of us on the tour and by lunchtime we were talking to each other about our lives and... More

I booked the Full Day Tour of Kompong Phluk, Tonle Sap Lake. It included pick-up at the hotel, car drive to where the boats are, boat to Chong Khneas and most importantly Kompong Phluk. The guide, Mony, picked me up at the correct time, he was good in English if you compare to many other guides in Asia. Mony did... More
