A breathtaking way to see the countryside. The horses are schooled by a Frenchman and have some understanding of the European ‘seat to leg aid’ should you choose to ride English. The trail takes you through housing areas which have feral dogs, motorbikes and children wandering around. My horse occasionally jittered so you need to pay attention. The meander through... More

Background: Took a 3hrs ride; no prior riding experience; arranged via email (including tuk-tuk pick up); took Western Saddle (it's really better for beginners as there is a handle in front for you to hold on, plus you can rest the reins there while taking pictures). Was looking through Trip Ad for top attractions/activities in SR and came across Happy... More

My partner organised a 2 hr morning ride which was beautiful.. It was my boyfriends first horse ride and we both enjoyed it. Really nice seeing the country side and took some great photos! The horses are very happy here as well and eveyone if very friendly! Great service If you are over temples and want something different go to... More

I grew up with horses, and love to ride when I am on vacation. Happy Ranch came highly recommended for everyone from beginner to advanced riders. We opted for the three hour ride, which includes a tour of a remote temple. The scenery on the ride was beautiful- we rode through rice fields and rural neighborhoods. It was a great... More

Daughter loved her ride with Mr. Chey. Excellent guy & very well run ranch. I recommend you ride early in the morning as not so hot! We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

My boyfriend and I booked a 2hr ride in the morning and found ourselves out on some horses in the countryside at 4pm. We loved the experience. The stables appeared clean and the horses well-taken care of (but I am not an expert in horses or their care). The ranch is owned by an American-Cambodian man. THE GUIDE: Riding with... More

A large property outside Siem Reap city limits dedicated to the care and love of horses. The grounds and stables are spotless; horses kept in large, airy and pristine stalls. Some horses were bred there, others rescued from racetracks from other parts of Cambodia and Vietnam. The proprietor has a deep love for his charges and is scrupulous about their... More

Although neither my sister nor I have ever ridden a horse aside from at a fair when we were kids I persuaded her to a sunrise trek with the Happy Ranch because we wanted a chance to see a bit of the real Siem Reap outside of the town and the temples. The staff were all super friendly and chatty,... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this day! Our guide was Kong and we rode Diamond and Silver. I am a beginner and Kong was an excellent teacher. I even managed a canter towards the end of the trip! Loved it and has definitely encouraged me to do this again much to my partners delight who loves horses! A well organised team at the... More

This was lovely. The horses were well trained and placid. My partner had not been riding before & was very nervous. The staff were very kind and helpful and helped to put him at ease. We had L.A. and Star ( Well, the Cambodian name for Star, I forgot how to pronounce it) Both horses were lovely. I am a... More
