From our first interaction with The Happy Ranch on email, we were impressed. As soon as we arrived at the ranch, we could tell that the owner and his staff love and care for the horses there. We took a two-hour tour through the countryside, across rice paddies and into small communities. It was a sunset ride, from 3:30-5:30, so... more

We went to the Happy Ranch for a sunset trail ride. I have a teenager and a six year old, and they both had a great time! We got off the beaten path and got to see local people and some temple ruins. The staff is very friendly and helpful- just e-mail them and they will set up a tour... more

My husband and I went on a half-day ride yesterday and had a wonderful time! As an experienced rider, I'm usually disappointed by "organized" trail rides - but this was so different, as it is tailored to your riding level. Our guide Lucy (from New Zealand) took us all over flooded rice paddies, through tiny villages, among beautiful temples, with... more

In Siem Reap for 3 days with my best friend, we wanted to experiment something new and different from the 35$ afternoons proposed by all tours for temples, temples or boat trips over Tonle Sap.. When we saw it in our Siem Reap guide, we chosed the one hour / 19$ option, coz one afternoon was too expensive for us..... more

As an experienced rider, and one who as ridden in many countires around the world, it is refreshing and wonderful to come across a stable which really looks after their horses. Horses and ponies are well fed and happy and the ranch facilities are comparable with any yard in the UK- if not better! The majority of the horses are... more

I found our about Happy Ranch from Trip Advisor and I'm glad that I emailed Lucy to make the booking. The Happy Ranch arranged for a booking from our hotel at Tara Angkor Hotel and it took about 25 mins and costs US$10. I was originally on Barney and my partner was on Balou and Lucy on Coco. However, Balou... more

This being my third time to Angkor Wat (with different friends of course), we found by chance online The Happy Ranch. This is one of the few non-temple activities that is available in Siem Reap. Interestingly, Sary the owner was a victim of the Genocide and was able to escape to America and make a life for himself. Eventually, he... more

it was great to ride with a ranch that takes such good care of its horses. The guide was very personable and helpful, and the horses were easy to control. And the trail itself was beautiful and unique to Cambodia. more

My friend and I took a one hour sunset ride with Happy Ranch through rice paddies and small villages. We were greeted the whole way by shouts of "Heeelllllloooooo" from the local children and friendly waves from the adults. Lucy and the staff were friendly, helpful and lovely to deal with. It was a fantastic way to end our visit... more

Great place, indeed. I go there every time I pass through Siem Reap. Here's why: - Horses are well looked after and cared for - Staff is knowledgeable and friendly (esp. Miss Lucy), able to assist riders of all ability - Don't need a middle man for booking, just call ahead from your hotel desk - Ride through the countryside... more
