My husband and I went to the War Museum one day by chance -- we were actually looking for the Landmind Museum and the tuk tuk driver misunderstood us and brought us to the War Museum instead. had a guide who experienced war, talked us through the tanks, guns etc then he started relaying his experiences in the war, felt a lot of sympathy initially, but he kept on going and crying i began to think it's probably becoming an ordeal for him to relate that to tourists and earn good tips. tipped him well though as... more

a place to go to spend a few hours.most of the gear and equipment is rusted and the place needs a lot of work but cheap enough and if you are into old tanks ect than would go and look more

The admission price of $3 per person was well worth it for what the place has to offer. However, if they would clean it up, paint the equipment, and put ladders on the equipment so that tourists could climb inside the tanks, helicopter, and plane, they could charge more. Just got back from the museum today. Mostly a bunch of very rusted tanks and artillery. Not well kept. I would say unless you are really into this kind of thing to give it a miss. May be a good idea to see where the money goes as well before going or not. Still $3 person. On the way to... more

Great place. Only three bucks to get in and well worth it. It came with a free guided tour, though you have to give the guide a little tip. Our guide had been a soldier in the war and was missing a leg, had quite a few bullet holes in him, and some shrapnel was visible under his skin. He... more
