One of the guides at this temple told me that this place was 700meters by 800meters. When one enters it, it is like looking down a tunnel. You literally go from structure to structure and there is very little open area. The open areas that existed were filled with huge stones. From side to side are rooms and this goes... more

As stated in previous reviews, here you can escape the crowds. I don't know why not many people visit as it is no further than most of the other temples within or around the Angkor Thom vicinity. Perhaps, as we were told by our guide, the more 'famous' Ta Phrom (or 'Tomb Raider' temple) is similar i.e. overgrown trees engulfing... more

We went to Preah Khan after 2 days visiting the 'main' sights. Our tour guide told us that we'd seen everything worthwhile and really pushed us to visit Tonle Sap lake. I kept saying that I would like to visit some less popular temples but he kept insisting on the lake! Sensing a hidden agenda (and getting annoyed!) I cancelled... more

Preah Khan is a smaller temple a bit past the north gate of Angkor Thom. It is was overrun with jungle, and a few trees remain attached to the walls.
