We made the terrible decision of visiting this place 2 days ago in Siem Reap. The "villages" were deserted, and all of the "attractions" within the villages were closed/abandoned. In relative terms in Cambodia, paying $15 for ANYTHING is pretty eye catching, but the fact we spent $15 a head to go hear was a joke. We walked around the... More

We were there when it started to rain. When you purchase your tickets at the entrance, a printed time schedule of the different shows is given. The set back is the shows are at different time and at different area of the village. Expect to either walk fast or run to to one another after each show. Since it rained... More

If you go at the right time (around 2pm), you'll be able to follow the dance and theatre shows from one 'village' to the next. They're quite close together so there's a sudden rush at the end of each show to get to the next one - just follow the other tourists. Having said that, the shows are pretty ordinary... More

CC ( 2014.07.27 ) There was a good place to know about Cambodian culture, but the contents was not satisfied to us. The show was held frequently, and we enjoyed Cambodian dance show in theater. This show was not different to another show in restaurant. The route to see village was need to improve. I couldn't understand about Combodian culture... More

what i liked is the space of this cultural village. there are lots of greenery and generally, it is well maintained. As we had a guide with us, he was able to explain the various attractions they had. from the museums which had life size figurines depicting the various historial scenes, people to the modern day singers and celebrities. there... Check Inn Siem Reap recommended us to visit Cambodian Cultural Village and it was a good choice to follow their advice. There were many performances and shows available and many stories to see.

It is a nice place, popular among locals too. You can spend few ours there easily. Have a timetable with different shows, so you can see e.g. traditional khmer wedding. Nice overview on diversity of cultures in Cambodia. Food and drinks are available there too.

I went there a few times, each time I go to Siem Reap with new students, and I would suggest you go there in the afternoon rather than the morning. Te majority of the program an shows are in the afternoon, the Traditional Cambodian rich wedding ceremony, the choreography, the Chinese acrobat show, and te very funny country side wedding,... More

It's a little pricey at $15 ($5 for Cambodians), but you get a lot for your money. Several museums and exhibits and a very pleasant walk around the grounds, but it's the shows that make it really worthwhile. Go just after lunch and try to see everything - but get to each show early if you want a seat. Unfortunately... More
