The Cambodian Cultural Village is conveniently located opposite The Sokhalay Angkor Resort & Hotel where my sister and I stayed during our first two days in Siem Reap. Since we had a very busy schedule we were able to do a quick visit to this attraction right after checking out from the hotel/resort. The facade offered a good photo opportunity.

The price of admission is not worth the sights/experience. Starting with the odd and very dated wax museum, you then walk around a man made lake to this very odd ghost house, that is literally a dark man made cave with skeletons and when I say dark, there is no guide to provide any light so you stumble through the... Our driver tried to tell us not to go here, but we like to learn about other cultures and we thought it might be fun. At best, the dioramas in the museum gave us a sense of history. My daughter and husband went into a haunted cave with a guide who proceeded to grope my daughter every chance he could.... More

As tourist I would like to see the Cambodians' culture of course. Eagerly to see the shows as schedule accordingly but I am so disappointed because I need to walk very far and electric train don't have a driver???? And we need to mixed up with local people and yet no space for us to see the shows? The local... More

There are small wax museums depicting how cambodian life is lived. There are installations set up to demonstrate the variety of ethnic groups living in Cambodia. The problem is that it is all under maintained. All of the snack stations were unmanned. We were there for 2 hours and we only saw one 5minute show depicting a traditional wedding. It... More

Wondering if this cultural village is for foreignersif the shows are in khmer? Not refined and very much half hearted display of performances are commercialized at best. Disappointing!

I agree that it is a waste of time to visit the so-called Cultural Village that does not deliver. I was told it was developed by the Chinese from Mainland China. Large park with show sites that offer sub-standard performance. It may fool visitors from the Western world but if you are from the East, forget it. The performance is... More

I didn't find it to be as bad as other reviews suggest. Yes, it's a bit artificial but still an interesting opportunity to see cultural wax museum and ethnic shows. There are plenty of shows running from 11 to approx 3pm. I believe that to visit different performances and to get some additional cultural flavour the place may worth a... More

I had heard great things about the cultural village so decided to visit. The entrance price is moderate. You can hire a buggy to be driven around the complex(once) and you can have a happy snap taken at the same time. The shows are very entertaining but there is a lot of time spent waiting for the next show to... More

If you are interested in Cambodian culture , architecture and dances, this is the best place to go. We really enjoyed the dance shows and the beautiful re built wooden houses. We were very impressed by the variety of dances and performances! Only few tourist joined the program and we had good opportunity to get in contact with Cambodian visitors,... More
