This is a store worth visiting. You will find lovely unusual things to take back home with you. Perfect souvenirs and things to beautify your home.
The difficulty here is knowing when to stop. The range is excellent, the prices so good, the staff are just brilliant. The quilts are quickly vacuum packed to save weight, and should you over indulge there are some luggage shops just along the road.
We fell in love with a quilt and were ready to pay for it when we were told by the sales person that the price on the quilt (professional tag) was not the price and she had to charge me more because 'in the system the price was different'. Of course we argued for 20 minutes ANC waited for the... More
Your comment is quite disappointing and does not reflect the full story. Yes the tag carried an old price which the staff had failed to update (we have hundreds in stock, mistakes do happen). This was explained to you. You threatened to criticize Mekong Quilts on the Internet and the staff panicked, quite wrongly. As a team they decided to... More
We bought a King size quilt and was very happy with the quality and craftsmanship. There are no discounts and the prices are fair, but not at a super bargain. We paid just over $400 USD for a king size partial silk quilt. In the USA, the same quilt would cost 1,000 USD or more. The hours and hours it... More
Seriously, the people who work in this store reflect th beauty of their quilts. Go and listen about how these quilts are hand stitched by women in the poorest of communities. These are peices of art that I have proudly purchased as a reminder of Cambodia and its wonderful people. They have lots of other handicrafts as well, so its... More
Not as well-marketed as Artisans d'Angkor or Scenteurs d'Angkor but a great handicrafts business that is designed to support rural women's development. The quilts were beautiful, and they had a nice assortment of smaller items, too.
Last Spring I bought 2 bamboo bikes to use in Siem Reap and first of all to support original products made by village workers selected by Mekong Creations in different country. The bikes are great and it's amazing how is attractive for everyone, locals and foreigners. It should be a commercial success. The ONG can export from Vietnam. Some hotels... More

Fortunately we had an idea what we were looking for otherwise we could still be there as there is a wide choice all beautifully hand quilted by very talented women. There are not only quilts but bags, children's soft toys, pillow covers &... More
We didn't make it to the shop when we were in Vietnam but I saw an advertisement and looked them up online. I ordered three quilts from them and had them delivered to Australia where we were living at the time. They were so awesome that I ordered three more and had them shipped to Canada when we moved back... More
