This is also called Angkor Butterfly Centre. There is normally a $4/person charge to get in. However, we got there 20 mins before closing, so the person on the door told us we could go in and then pay what we thought was appropriate when we left, which was very reasonable of him. The place was fantastic. We got a... More

I went there 2 days ago and no one come to attend me after 10 minutes. I looked around and nothing special if you already visited a tropical country

Stopped on this coming back from landmine museum costs $4 and it isn't that big but the guide made up for it in his enthusiasm and knowledge showing every step of life cycle and pointing out butterflies and fauna at every opportunity. Was a nice break and would recommend it.

If you are visiting the temple at Banteay Srei this is a great stop along the way from Siem Reap. You can wonder freely in gardens with wonderfully coloured butterflies all around. Small café for a drink or a bite to eat. $4 for an adult and you can take as long as you like, great chance to photographs these... More

We stopped by the Butterfly Centre on our way back from Bantay Srei, and found it a very enjoyable experience. We were able to see butterflies in all stages, in a beautiful setting. We had a very informative free guide, who showed us around and gave us a lot of great information. We then wandered the garden and got some... More

we arrived just as it was opening on the way back from an early morning trip to Banteay Srey and I recommend it for photographers who like a change of pace. The gardens are small but well established and mostly in bloom in late January when I was there. Probably around 6-8 different species at that time. Pleasant but don't... More

Learn about local butterflies in a stunningly beautiful garden. The guardians of this garden know and care about butterflies. It's a ways out of town, but worth a stop.

The free guide inside was very friendly. He made everything convenient for one who wants to take close pictures of the butterflies. It would be better there were more butterflies, but considering that it is not their season now...The round trip on a motorcycle with a local guy from Pre Rup costed 10 dollars. It is also good for family... More

Considering this cost more than the landmine museum it was disappointing. We saw maybe 15 butterflies. More were outside the enclosure following me to the toilets there. We were in and out in just a few minutes. Maybe it was the off season for them or something.

There are a lot of mixed reviews but you really have to decide for yourself what you are interested in. We went there on a special trip to photograph butterflies and totally enjoyed it. The garden is small but there are a lot of butterflies. The brief introduction was conducted by a young guy who speaks very good English. We... More
