We visited during rainy season in July 2014. The front desk guy served as our tour guide and spent about 30 minutes showing us the various butterflies and plants, as well as discussing at length the life-cycle of the butterfly. Very informative. Apparently the time of year we visited usually has the highest butterfly population, so we were glad to... More

This is a nice little attraction with quite a few butterflies. The wet season is better for visiting as they are more active. Not only butterflies, but look closer at the plants and it's amazing what else you can find.

Our kids were getting a bit weary of the temple visits and asked if we could go to the Butterfly Centre. We are certainly glad we did. Although a small place, it is full of beautiful butterflies and a great staff that was attentive and patience with our kids - answering all of their questions and sharing information with them... This is also called Angkor Butterfly Centre. There is normally a $4/person charge to get in. However, we got there 20 mins before closing, so the person on the door told us we could go in and then pay what we thought was appropriate when we left, which was very reasonable of him. The place was fantastic. We got a... More

I went there 2 days ago and no one come to attend me after 10 minutes. I looked around and nothing special if you already visited a tropical country

Stopped on this coming back from landmine museum costs $4 and it isn't that big but the guide made up for it in his enthusiasm and knowledge showing every step of life cycle and pointing out butterflies and fauna at every opportunity. Was a nice break and would recommend it.

If you are visiting the temple at Banteay Srei this is a great stop along the way from Siem Reap. You can wonder freely in gardens with wonderfully coloured butterflies all around. Small café for a drink or a bite to eat. $4 for an adult and you can take as long as you like, great chance to photographs these... More

We stopped by the Butterfly Centre on our way back from Bantay Srei, and found it a very enjoyable experience. We were able to see butterflies in all stages, in a beautiful setting. We had a very informative free guide, who showed us around and gave us a lot of great information. We then wandered the garden and got some... More

we arrived just as it was opening on the way back from an early morning trip to Banteay Srey and I recommend it for photographers who like a change of pace. The gardens are small but well established and mostly in bloom in late January when I was there. Probably around 6-8 different species at that time. Pleasant but don't... More
