After learning about the tragedies associated with landmines, this was a nice break. Have a wander around the garden and a drink in the cafe with the butterflies- lovely spot :)

I thought I would take my 2 little girls to go and see some butterflies. The drive was about half an hour from Siem Reap central, and it was a nice drive seeing some of the country side. The garden is obviously covered by netting so the butterflies don't escape, but maybe there is a hole somewhere because there weren't... More

I visited here on the way to Banteay Srei temple. It was a welcome change from seeing stone and whilst my guide was very informative there weren't many butterflies there. It's sweet and cheap though so I'd recommend a visit. Just don't have too high expectations!

A very nice little butterfly zoo with a personal guide, that shows you the butterflys flying around, how they are bread at this place and the caterpillars and tells you a lot about the different species. Really really worth the 4$ if you're interested in nature or just like to relax and watch pretty butterflies in a big pretty walk-in... More

A small garden with not many butterflies but I still enjoyed seeing it and doing something other than take photos of temples

We visited after a trip to the landmine museum. A guide took us around and explained the life cycle of the butterflies. It was a very calm, serene place and I would recommend it.

The butterfly garden is a great visit. When you enter you get a guide who walks you through the garden and gives you information, he's nice and speaks decent English. He allows you entry to the area with the cocoons, caterpillars and giant walking sticks (or whatever they're called) and guides you through it. After this he allows you the... More

For $4USD this is ok for a stop and look. There weren't too many butterflies when I was there but that was due to the time of year. Feb March etc is when they have heaps of butterflies. Still good to learn the life cycle and see some great colourful butterflies

Our tour guide knew all there was to know about all the different species of butterflies (there is a lot there) and was happy to answer all our questions (in excellent English) The enclosure is really beautiful and has a very peaceful atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, particularly if you're looking at other temples in the area and the land... More

I learnt loads about the lifecycle of butterflies and the local species from the very good guide at the centre. The centre collects species locally from farmers and breeds them to protect them from extinction. Well worth the $4 entrance fee.
