We heard bad things about visiting the floating villages - how the guides manipulate tourists into donating money. We decided to instead visit the floating villages with Osmoses - an organisation committed to developing the area socially, economically and environmentally. We are so glad we did. Not only is the organisation empowering the women of the floating villages to develop... More

I was very disappointed in this tour. I tend to think a lot of it is very misleading. The main boat ride is quite comfortable but you travel for a LOOOOONG time to get to the bird sanctuary. I assumed we would be surrounded by birds everywhere. You climb a ladder in a tree in the flooded forest to see... More

The tour was just okay. The guide was nice, not specially knowledgeable. But it really wasn't very interesting. I went with around 8 people and there was so much down time crusing on the boat that most of my group was fast asleep for a lot of it. Honestly, had this tour been a $20 tour, I would've been happy.... More

This was one of the best experiences I had in Cambodia. We took the itinerary 2 (2 days tour). The tour is very well organized, they provide the information promptly and are very professional. Bond, our guide was amazing and having the opportunity to see another way of living and other parts of Cambodia that are not crowded with tourists... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip with Osmose. I ended up being the only person on the tour and as such paid quite a lot of money for the privilege, but I feel it was 100% worth the expense. It was a beautiful and unique experience to see the floating village, to hear about the education and conservation work that is... More

Osmose is a tour which helps the local people in their everyday life support. So you know that the money you pay for the tour (100 USD PP if you are 4) will be well spent. They come and pick you up from your hotel and bring you to the mouth of the Tonle Sap lake. On the boat you'll... More

A superb tour with a sense of responsibility, supporting local people and helping to protect the local environment and wildlife. We had a lot of fun, and our guides were excellent, well-informed and enthusiastic. The tour is really well planned and despite the hype from so many great reviews, it surpassed our expectations.

I have never seen fish eagles before let alone be twenty yards away from one! What a great day we had. It was a mix of bird watching and seeing how floating villages live and work. The boat trips were treks in their own right - going down incredibly narrow channels to reach the bird hides and floating villages. One... More

We booked this tour in advance and knew we may end up paying $150 each if no-one else joined. Luckily on the day there were 6 of us and we ended up paying $80 each. However we had such a great day I would have happily paid full price. We aren't serious bird watchers but nevertheless we had a very... More

After three days of visiting the temples we wanted a change of scenery and Osmose provided that but also so much more. Our guide explained us a lot aobut the unique eco-system of the lake, we got to see how the local communities live on the lake and did some bird watching from a tree house platfrom - great views...
