This park is one of the most developed in the state park system. Horses, mini golf, hiking trails in the woods, swimming with wave pool and child areas. Ice skating, a greenhouse, paved trails that go all over the main park area. Playhouse with great local entertainment, sledding hill, and the observation tower. Camping, fishing, paddle boats, it goes on... More

A friend had her sons birthday party in the skating area at the park on a weekend. The area upstairs was decorated nice but nothing was ready when we arrived. For the cost very little was required of the Park staff and yet it appeared we had to ask for everything and help ourselves to most things. It was also... More

We had a wonderful time in our Cain 26. It's close to the river; couple cabins on the left, and non in the right: Noise is not a big problem. Can sleep 6 to 8 people easily. Furnished well, clean, windows are facing east and west. We highly recommend this cabin and the park, because of various activities.

We have always enjoyed our visits here overall. There is a wide selection of activities year round indoors and out. The hiking areas are well maintained & the view from the tower shows the area well on a clear day. We stayed at the cabins last year at Christmas, and everything really necessary was provided. They were clean excepting a... More

Made a fire at fireplace. Cabin had all the amenities including dish soap which we forgot, had some dishes for us to use. very roomy feeling for the size. We stayed at: Site, Loop: 047 SGL, Margre's Village Cabin Loop. As we drove to our cabin at night we saw some deer which was really cool as they seemed to... More

FYI the restaurant is now closed at the Lodge. Hopefully they will get a new vendor in soon! But the park itself is awesome as always. That is why I still give it 5 stars.

We don't make it out here as often as we would like, but there is something to do year round- ice skating, paddle-boating, etc.. The grounds are also fairly large and they even have a place to eat if you aren't a picnic person, but I've never tried it out.

We have come here multiple Decembers for a big family brunch/cchristmas Party. Managment has fluctuated over the years (may be changing again) but it has always been very accomadating to the family. Today the brunch buffet brought to out party room was plentiful and tasty! Service was the best this year than I ever remember! She was pleasent and happy... More

Ive been going here with my family every october for the past couple years. My best friend and his family got a cabin right next to us. We hiked right down into the woods and went through the whole park. The observation tower offers an amazing view of the whole park. The train tracks were right down the hill from... More
