Mahoney has it all - something for families, business, couples or friends. Lots of great features- amazing water park, beautiful views of the Platte River, fantastic meeting facilities for small to mid sized groups, perfect family reunion lodging, romantic cabins and full service hotel at the lodge with a GREAT restaurant overlooking the Platte.

We were lucky enough to get 4 nights of camping without a reservation in July, and enjoyed every minute of it. This is a state park??!! Very different from any state park we had ever seen in New England. Mahoney has mini golf, a driving range, a full sized water park, paddle boat rentals, a climbing structure, great bike paths,... We were needing somewhere to camp on route to Illinois from Utah, and this had great RV spots for great value. We wanted electric hookups. Checkin was not straight forward, considering there was no sign telling campers to pull over to go into the office so we ended up going to the park entry and had to go back around... More

I live in the Pacific NW and camp extensively. Here is the low down on this place: 1) Campsites (not great at all) a) size of sites and spacing (good) but need more trees/shrubs to separate b) WiFi (pathetic). No one could connect c) No potable water hookups (pathetic) d) Distance to restrooms (pathetic). Located next camp site over. e)... More

We had reservations for 2 nights in a cabin. We ended up leaving after the first night because it was so dirty. When we showed up the kitchen counter was covered in sticky something, toilet was never cleaned and the dishes in the cupboard felt greasy with crusted food still on them. It made me physically sick. No way to... More

From checking in to the restaurant to the marina there were high school aged kids that could not communicate on the simplest level. We only stayed two nights but definitely ready to head home.

We spent 3 days and 2 nights at the lodge. Room was nice, fun for kids with the loft and balcony. Sofa bed was really uncomfortable, so we ended up pulling the mattress off the second night and just put it right on the floor. Also, bathroom is very outdated. Needs better lighting and a bathtub. We traveled with 3... More

We spent 1 night and 1 day at the park. We arrived just after sunset, and the office right as you pull in was closed. There were no maps available. A sign on the booth said to find a certain lodge to check in, but then the lodge was never listed on any of the signs around the park. We... More

This was a pleasant surprise! The water slides, wave pool and diving boards are great fun. The big "dump" in the children's area is WAY TOO MUCH for little kids. I like that they let you catch your kids at the bottom of the slides. Smaller children can do one or more 360's on the way down, so I would... More
