This was a perfect get away for the family with a lot of do and see. First off the park is beautiful & peaceful. Just as is it is entertaining but there is tons to do for the whole family. We took advantage of the water park (it was pretty crowded but lots of fun), did mini golf, took out... More

This was stop number one on our way to San Diego. The park is huge with plenty to do but we were late in the season and short on time. There is horse back riding, mini golf, fishing, swimming and much more. We went to the water park because it was very hot when we got there it was small... More

The wildlife and the outdoors are what I enjoyed during my receent visit & the reason for the very good rating. The rooms are outdated but acceptable & clean - I didn't spend much time in the room anyway. The balcony on the room was a nice place to relax & watch the various animals graze & meander by.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 young sons. The cabin seemed a bit overpriced, but overall it was nice. Very roomy inside. One big disappointment was that we were not allowed to build a fire in the fireplace (apparently it's only allowed during the colder months) and there was not even a firepit outside to enjoy. We... My family rents a cabin every year here and I have also stayed at the lodge. Try to get a cabin close to the pool - as parking gets awful in the summer time. Pool is one of the main attractions: wave pool, kiddie pool area, two long slides, a diving board & deep end slide, along with a normal... More

Overall the park is a great place and location. It started out nice and is going down hill. That being said, like any state run operation it lacks good management. The cabins are outdated and many times not very clean. The food at restaurant is average to poor along with the service not to mention being way over priced. Unless... More

After I had breakfast in town, I went with several people to Eugene T. Mahoney State Park to do some Geocaching. Very nice park with outstanding walking trails. If I travel through Ashland, Nebraska in the future, I would like to revisit this park again.

Very close to the Strategic Air & Space Museum, so go enjoy that then come to the park's lodge for dinner with a lovely view across the Platte River. Hubby had a very tasty steak, I had delicious pork chops. Park is newer (built in the 1990's) large with lots of activities for kids/families. Accommodations include lodge, cabins, RV camping... We rented in the lodge for 3 nights. Clean accomodations. Nothing fancy. Towels worn but clean. But we were not there for the room. The area in and around the Park is amazing. Loved the Safari, attended the corny but fun melodrama on site, and had a great time visiting with family who were camped in the Park. Warning: If... More

This State Park is only 30 mins from my home. We visit it very often for the water park and a few weekends a year we rent a cabin and spend time doing all the other things this great park has to offer. There is so much to do. All the obvious things of course, like fishing, hiking trials, campfire... More
