Cog railway train is having style and is comfy. Schafberg - place from where you can observe the valleys around and spend pleasant few hours enjoying family trip. We enjoyed tasteful lunch in the restaurant there.

One of the best train trips that I had ever during the last few years. you will have the chance to see the best view when you reach the top of the mountain. Highly recommended.

An amazing experience. We went on the moonlight special a few years ago, which reduced everyone to a genuinely awed silence. The views of the Schafberg from the valley and the lake are glorious too.

At the terminal at the top of the mountain there are two places to eat but they are a good walk up a steep rocky path. There... More

If you go on a nice clear day - the view is astonishing, both on the top of the mountain and during the trip itself. But be sure that the weather is nice - check the webcams http://www.schafbergbahn.at/de_at/Impressionen/Webcam.html. We took a family combo lake ticket that includes a boat round trip from St. Wolfgang to St. Gilgen. It was a... More
