If you are in the Twin Cities, this is a definite must (at least for animal lovers like us!) We have been visiting this zoo for years. Each time we return to find improvements. The exhibits are very spacious and appropriate for each species. We very much enjoy "discovering" the tigers, dhole, moose, etc. hanging out in a different area... More

We went during the MN Zoo military appreciation week. During this week, veterans and service members were able to get in for free and their family members for half off. Parking was also free and there was discounts on food and gift shop items. Our family of 4 got into the zoo for $15. It was completely worth it because... More

The zoo was a nice day trip for the family. It was pretty hot the day we went so it was nice that half the zoo in inside or sheltered. The splash pad area was a great way to break up the day and give new life to our 2 & 7 yr old boys. We were bummed to see... More

I liked that the IMAX is here, and the way the zoo was spread out, easy to find everything. The only complaint i have is that you can get a discount if you buy at the gate but they sell the tickets to hotels without the discount so tourists do not know better when buying from the hotels.

Over the five day experience at Zoo Camp, even though it was a educational opportunity many campers did enjoy the camp. The camp Zoo Crew was very large and consisting of 17 students. With the amount of attenders there needed to be a Zoo Teen also a volunteer of Minnesota Zoo. This camp had many ups and downs, an up... More

We were in Minneapolis and decided to enjoy a day outside at the zoo. Overall we were happy with our visit. However, there was one volunteer in particular that ruined our visit twice in one day. She was a senior citizen with dark short hair. She was extremely grouchy with all of the kids I saw and seemed to think... More

The exhibits are AMAZING! They are very natural, and all of the animals look incredibly healthy. I always enjoy seeing healthy, happy animals at zoos, and this zoo really does well for their animals. Their aquatic department is wonderful and has really nice tanks. Prices are reasonable for food and souvenirs.

Great for children over 6 and a few adults. Many exhibits are closed or without animals. Monorail has shut down and both the dolphin and beluga whale and gone. You may see a tiger or a few snow monkeys but you'll find a lot more folks selling high price toys or food. Admission price of about $5.00 would be nice... More

We were staying in Minnesota for a couple days and decided to take our children to the Minnesota Zoo. We were really disappointed with the zoo. It has very few animals as compared to other large zoos we have been to. They have used a natural landscaping technique which makes the zoo look unkempt. It seemed pricey for what was... More

My friend took me to the Zoo this past weekend. He knew I wanted to see a red panda my entire life. There were beautiful exhibits from sea life to local wild life and much more. Walking around there were rare beauties, like the red panda and a tiger. The indoor area with many birds and sea life is a... More
