Took the little guy I'm taking care of during the day here and we had a great time!! The staff is very helpful and friendly, we went first thing in the morning and happily got to meet one of the staff members who is observing the Mother Sloth and her baby. She was sweet enough to answer questions and explain... More

Plan on walking alot - but if your legs can take it, this is an excellent zoo. The exhibits: grizzly bear; wolverine; tropic trail. Skip the seal show. It is expensive, but bring in your own food/drinks and save some buck there (plus the food court was not that great).

We visited on a Sunday morning and got there right after it opened. At that time, it was not overly crowded and we were able to cruise through the zoo without waiting to see exhibits and felt we could linger a little longer at the points that interested us. My children were really excited about the penguin feeding and we... More

My husband and I visited in July. We were impressed by the large enclosure sizes for the animals. The butterfly walk through was very nice. Many of the animal enclosures had multiple viewing points so visitors weren't crammed into a small area. Also, several enclosures had different species cohabitating. Lots of walking to get through the whole facility.

My family and I really enjoyed the Minnesota Zoo. We loved the animal exhibits and the overall setting is very pleasant. The Hanifl Family Wild Woods Play Area opened in July - just in time for our visit. Wow! The kids spent a long time climbing through the structures, playing the natural instruments, etc. The carousel is beautifully maintained as... More

Took my two 9 year old daughters and we walked all of the trails. This zoo is "natural settings" type zoo, similar to the San Diego Zoo and it's nice to have to look for the animals in their enclosures, as opposed to just being displayed in a pen. They do have some rare animals there like the Red Panda... More

We had a blast at the zoo -- two boys (ages 7 and 9) had a great time and so did we!! The zoo is very well laid out, for the most part, and has an extensive inventory of animals. There was not one specific stand-out exhibit but they were all fun to visit. Oddly, the new play area is... More

Took my entire family to the Zoo using my retired military discount. Spent the entire day enjoying the animals. A lot of walking. I got my exercise that day!

The zoo is quite nice and our preschooler had a lot of fun. It is extremely expensive at $18 per adult, $12 per child and $7 to park. Then they asked if we wanted to donate to the Monk Seal exhibit. Fortunately we did not, as the seals were nowhere in sight when we got there. The farm area was... More

While in town on business, I decided to go after work one night to the zoo. I had an hours time before they were about to close and was able to make it through within that timeframe. The zoo is very well-kept and the exhibits were nice. Zoo is not a very large zoo in comparisons to others but was... More
