My two teen age daughters and I kayaked the Barton to Gallup trip over the Memorial Day weekend. It took us nearly three hours to complete. The water level is quite low for this time of the year, which doesn't bode well for late summer trips when the water level will be even lower. The beginning mile and a half... More

It's amazing to me that you can rent kayaks and canoes right in the heart of Gallup Park and Argo Park and spend some time on the beautiful Huron River. You can choose to paddle right around the livery at Gallup in very calm water, or you can go on one of the river trips. We like the one that... More

Came across the park somewhat by accident. We were looking for another location. Turns out it was a nice place to walk and bicycle. We did not take advantage of the water, but lots of folks were tubing, boating, and kayaking. Lots of weeds in the waterway, but it didn't seem to deter participants. No fee to enter the park.... Went for the first time last week and had an overall GREAT experience! Professional and friendly staff, prices were fair. Park at Gallup and they drive you up river (in my opinion this is better than the reverse option of going in the van ride wet back to your car.) Plenty of room for cooler on kayaks. They are flexible... More

So my husband and I have been wanting to go kayaking for awhile, but thought there was no way we could do it with our two year old. Well turns out, they do. We went out on a Monday evening and had a blast. You can get two hrs in 3 miles of still-water kayaking for $18! It was a... More

The service and staff are great but there was so much weeds that we really couldn't get out far. We were exhausted by the time we cleared the weeds, and we're all in good shape! Not worth it...

We rented paddle boats and took our church youth group out for the evening. It was fun. Some of the equipment was a little outdated, but it just added to the fun. Price was reasonable, and they had plenty of lifejackets.

We paddle boated once, we canoed down from Argo livery once and each time the staff were very helpful and friendly. There's a lot to do and the scenery and trails are great for a leisurely stroll.

I go here frequently to kayak, and before I bought my own, I rented one of theirs. It was a real dinosaur. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the park is an absolute pleasure.
