Take the trails any time of year, enjoying the highlight of the attraction: The Huron River! Hudson Mills holds many fond memories for me as it was one of the first metroparks in this area I ever visited. I love the trails, in every season. The hills and natural features mesmerizing. Enjoy blazing colors in the fall, tranquility in the... More

This treasure of a park -- part of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system -- has something for everyone. Paved trails loop around the heart of the park, perfect for runners, walkers, people out with their dogs, parents out with strollers, etc. One trail connects with the Border-to-Border Trail and goes all the way into downtown Dexter for those looking for a... My congregation held a summer worship service at a shelter in the park. The park is greatly maintained and was easy to work with. The shelter was clean, had nice tables and as easy to reserve. The only downside for our group was that parking was quite far away for our seniors who would have preferred closer handicap access. A... More

We were group of 4 adults visiting ann harbor from Chicago for a weekend. We had couple of hours to spend in the area before returning to Chicago. We originally wanted to do biking in the park but the bike rentals were not available due to the slight rain. We changed our plans and decided to do disc golfing. There... More

We went to the park for hiking at Acorn Nature Trail which is a 2-mile loop with woodlands and river. It is a fun park with varieties of activities fields such as soccer, baseball, golf course and disc golf course. It is also great place for bikers. You do need to find a start point for the nature trail which... More

Hudson Mills is a great place to go to. You can eat a picnic, skip stones, put your feet in the river, and even eat a picnic on a table in the river. It is beautiful and has its own charm. It is a little ways out of town though.

A friend and I walk there! The many paths are clean and maintained, there is a central building with meeting rooms and indoor toilets. The paths wander here and there along the Huron River. In the evenings you might hear an owl.

The Detroit area is blessed with an extraordinary series of parks along the Clinton and Huron rivers; together they nearly bracket Detroit, so that most residents of Southeast Michigan are within fifteen minutes drive of one. The Hudson Mills Metropark is one of the very best. I usually go there to walk, especially on Sundays when, during the season, the... More

I bike the Border to Border trail that starts at Hudson Mills and goes all the way to the town of Dexter. It is a wondeful ride with no traffic and just nature! I would say have is tree covered. The ride is fairly flat with some challenging areas. We usually stop in Dexter for lunch and a rest and... More
