I can't really blame the Santa Teresa Convent Museum that I can't give it a higher rating. The reason is that I got offered to get a tour in English (but had to wait a bit) or I could take the next one in Spanish. In april 2012 we visited Convento Santa Teresa in Potosí. Tourists often just visit the mines and the Mint, but you shouldn´t miss this convent. Guided tours (1-1,5 hour) are in Spanish or English, and show the life of the nuns in Colonial times, the beautiful building and some very nice pieces of religious art. It costs 10 bs /... More

Loved it! The prime tour in Potosi is the Mint. But this museum/tour that sits a couple of blocks from the main square was much more interesting. Real women, from aristocratic families entered this closed Carmelite order aged 15 and dedicated their life to God.
