It's s nice place for a walk under the trees. There is a simple, basic coffee shop where you can get a sandwich. You can rest on the grass, learn the scientific names of the trees and bushes. Is good for an hour or two.

A place to relax and get ready for a busy day at Viña del Mar, a wide variety of plants, well kept gardens, and the concert area which must be quite spectacular at night.

The building is very nice, although now is closed because of the last earthquake. You can see all the cracks in the walls. which make a very interesting pictures to take. lovely gardens, and open auditorium.

This is the most important place to be at when the festival is in process, other than that , nice gardens kinda destroyed by earthquackes but nice to visit for about half an hour.

Whenever you visit Chile, you should not miss the coastal cities of Valparaiso (an important and historical port) and Vina del Mar, a beautiful beach resort, adjacent to Valparaiso, where you can find gardens and parks in almost every corner. Quinta Vergara is one of the most important and biggest green areas offered by Vina del Mar. Formerly, Jose Francisco... More

It looks like the Palace has been damaged by an earthquake. Very little seems to be happening to restore it despite a big notice board of proposed restoration. The park surrounding it is modest and a nice place to relax. Still worth a quick visit.

The Palacio Vergara is closed and it looks like it is going to take a long time before it is open again as there is a lack of money available for tourist attractions. The park surrounding the museum is nice to walk around though.

It was disappointing to find out that "Palacio Vergara", the museum, was closed, without a opening date set. Call in advance to check if it has opened. The park is very small and without any appeal to my family. We could have skipped the attraction at all.
