Duo in transit enroute US by Emirates flight, on 92 hours online transit visa, for a quick peep into Dubai's innovative projects, changing skyline by each year, Palm Jumeirah is a man made island, an artificial archipelago, is palm shaped, connected from Gateway Towers to Atlantis Hotel by monorail, is beautiful, fascinating and reflects the Rulers' vision for Dubai into... U can take the mono rail if you want to see the palm which can definitely not be seen from the road. At the end of the palm one could probably catch a glimpse or something but otherwise it looks good only in the aerial photos. There is Atlantis at the end which had many activities. And they are fun

Even just to visit the area, without staying, it us breathtaking. The attention to detail, cleanliness, and, well, excessive amount of money poured into this area makes it a must see!

There a beach, but we didn't try it, it was very hot in August (even at night). -we found nothing to do expect eating in an overpriced restaurant. - the only new feature we saw was a self photography kiosk,... Calling The Palm a tourist attraction is a bit misleading. It is simply residential enclave with most of its roads out of bounds to any tourists and those restrictions also apply to its flagship Atlantis Hotel. You can take a monorail from the base of the palm to the outer edges and stroll along the breakwater or alternatively drive there... More

Palm jumerirah is good island lot of hotels with beautiful beaches, you can park you car and enjoying watching the sea, but so far Fridays its very traffic, not much super markets or no sign board showing nearest super market or shops.
