we did hatta mountain safari in october 2014. It was amazing , beautiful sentries, different unbelievable landscapes, wadis, swimming in the pools, visiting vegitable farms, heritage village, only dam in UAE and lunch at hatta fort hotel. highly recommended

We were on a day trip from Dubai. This place was terrible, trash everywhere, filthy baby diapers beside the water, "I love Pakistan" grafitti sprayed onto the rocks....no shade, nowhere to sit. What about elderly people visiting with their families...where are they supposed to rest? Oman has some beautiful wadis, best to avoid this place.

A site that must not be missed to capture the full view of UAE. While it is a bit of a drive it is well worth it for the different lanscapes. Travelling through the two different desertscapes you will want to stop to capture the artistic scenery. Of course the camels will be there to see you passing. Then the... More

Amidst the litter and the "I luv Pakistan" graffitis sprayed along the rocks, this destination has its charms. Please ensure that you visit after the rains, allowing for the above-mentioned to either (1) wash away, or (2) be hidden by high waters

The pool very pretty full with clear water. Shame oabout all the litter :/ If you come from outside Europe/USA, make sure you got a visa to Oman. The indian family in our company did not enter Oman as they lacked the visa.

We came here as part of a tour to this area and took the chance to swim in the wadi pools. It was fun swimming up the deep gorge and the water was frequently to deep to touch the bottom. After about 40m of swimming up the wadi gorge you came to a small waterfall where a snake basking inn... More

Don't go unless you are local and are bored! Go after recent rainfall as the water quality deteriorates within a few days......dead dragon flies, dead birds, litter and general rubbish quickly builds up, all of which floats on the surface. But it gets flushed out each time there is a cloud burst overhead. Oh, and the dirt track that was... More

Good for paddling, not much water in summer so no swimming. Lots of walks and wadis in this area. Not too much graffiti or litter.

Wadi bashing was really fun with a hint of danger. The pools themselves are a must see. Youth jump from the cliffs. The water feels fantastic. Our kids caught frogs (and released). Bring water shoes, mats, whatever you need for a picnic. Where we were was very rustic. There were no amenities. The ride in was mountainous and majestic. It... More
