Had coffee and lunch and a walk down the beach. very pleasant. Some construction works going on that might affect beach goers.

They're building the new canal, so the Jumeirah Beach Park has been flattened and is now a construction site. Pretty sad, it was a beautiful place. But, you can go to the Umm Suqeim Public Beach (in Umm suqeim 3) where they've added toilets to the already existing changing rooms (only 1 each for male and female) which makes it... More

We visited this beach along with kids. The kids loved the sand and played in the water. The beach is not that crowded and water seems to be safe. There is a park nearby the beach where you can spend some time after the kids get tired. There is a cafeteria in the park which sells some decent burgers. Do... More

Beach is really nice and very very clean. There are on arrangement to buy anything to eat or drink, so ensure you carry a bottle of water along with you. Swimming is allowed and there are sign boards not to go deep in water however I couldn't see any life guards around just in case... You can see the Architectural... More

Staying in Jumeirah

Neighborhood Profile
Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighborhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.
