If you want a relaxing 90 minute trip between the Marina and Dubai Creek, while getting some great views of the Dubai coast line, then I can really recommend this. It is comfortable, cool and actually peaceful trip very well run. I opted for the gold class for business man travels at Dirham75 which was really an overkill. The silver... More

We've taken the metro, taxi, abra in Dubai, so we thought we'd try the Dubai ferry. They only run twice a day and only if they have enough passengers. It runs from Al Gubhaiba to Dubai Marina and is AED50 one way (this is the price for the "Silver ticket"). don't get the Gold as the seats in the silver... More

I loved Dubai Ferry trip from Bur Dubai. with AED 50, it's worth to try this once. They have another option for 75 AED in which you sit indoors in a air conditioned environment but trust me you will like to be outdoors with such a wonderful wind and super views of sky scrapers of Sheikh Zayed Road.

Took the ferry from the Marina to Dubai Creek. We thought it would be a nice way to see Dubai from the water, but we weren't really impressed. The weather was very hazy and with the ferry staying pretty far from the coastline the views of Dubai weren't very spectacular. The ride took 1,5 hours and was actually rather boring.... More

I intended to catch the 11:00 hours boat from Al Ghubaiba/Dubai Creek to Dubai Marina on the 28/02/2015. The RTA (Dubai's public transport authority) ticket office is located just opposite the jetty but when I tried to buy one I was told I would be better catching the 13:00. I asked if the 11:00 was cancelled - no answer other... More

We took the silver tickets for 50 aed / person. The trip took 90 minutes, since there was some delay in the beginning due to the big ships leaving the port at the same time. You get a good view of the creek at the start and then along the way you can see the megalomaniac houses along the coast.... More

If you have time and would like to see a bit of dubai from the sea and also want to go to Bastakiya afterwards then it's nice way to get there from Dubai Marina area. 1. The trip takes 1 hour 2. The price is ok, though not really a deal at 50 dirhams a person, if you are a... More

I picked up the Dubai Ferry from Al Ghubaiba boat station at the end of Al Fahidi street in Bur Dubai. You can also catch it from the Marina Mall. I got the 1pm ferry trip that lasted 1.5 hours. It doesn’t stop anywhere en route. It’s great to see the skyline of Dubai though. I asked a few people... More

We jumped on the ferry as a last minute idea. It was a sunset cruise although we missed the sunset as the boat was late departing! We got nice views of the Dubai Marina, Palm and Burj al Arab. It was less than an hour and it was busy. We tried to do another the next day which went past... More

Staying in The Marina

Neighborhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
