A traditional Dhow Cruise takes you to the waters of Dubai Marina gazing on the skyscrapers surrounding the water. Together with all passengers the one hour ride provides comfy bean bags, blankets on request and beverages. At the rate of AED 60dhs you get to see what Dubai Marina waters has to offer. I always make sure my guests experience... More

Such a nice way to see Dubai ... from the sea. Leisurely trip on a Dhow boat reclining lazily on big fat bean bags. Soft drink included. Grandsons love it. Good views of beautiful Dubai, Burge Al Arab, beaches and watching skydivers above. Cheap and fun

Such a lovely way to wallow away an hour on some comfy bean bags. Catch this gorgeous wooden dhow from Dubai Marina and let it take you round the Marina and the JBR part of the beach. Great views - plenty of photo opportunities and a free soft drink on board. Well worth the £10!

We went on the boat on Sunday, just 3 of us were on the entire boat which was quite nice. You don't see much at all but it's nice to get out on the water. It was cheap as well as we had Entertainer vouchers. Don't expect to have picturesque pictures of the shoreline as they're so much construction but... More

I've been searching for a Marina Dhow Cruise for my young guest but most dinner cruise are expensive and totally not worth paying 300 Dirhams. I'm glad Iv come across Captain Jack's, as it's only an hour cruise (which is more than enough), in a slow steady pace. It's very relaxing and good for tourists. I would not mind paying... More

Just got back from Dubai and after experiencing the dinner cruises, found this a more refreshing cruise, where we felt more in touch with nature as in the beautiful sea, sun rays, beach and the blue skies. Also loved the view of the Dubai Marina while lazing on the bean bags and the view is not limited to only some... More

I was visiting Dubai on vacation as a few day excursion on my way to Egypt. The buildings and architecture in Dubai is absolutely beautiful and wanted to see as much as possible and capture beautiful images. We were referred to Captain Jack's by our waiter in our hotel. It was a great recommendation. We got to see the beauty... More

This AED 60 boat ride is an hour well spent. It leaves every full hour and you get to see the Dubai Marina and part of the Palm Islands. Its a wooden Dhow boat with beanie bags to sit on. Most of the times you also get to see the planes of Skydive Dubai lift of and land and watch... More

If you have been to Chicago then you must tried Chicago Architecture tour. And I thought this Dubai Marina and a bit of the open see tour in a wooden boat is similar to that but the reality is not even close. There is no guide or audio guide that add some humor or few information or what not to... More

Staying in The Marina

Neighborhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
