Ok, it's not cheap to eat here but the atmosphere is relaxing and unique on the canal side. The souk is full of interesting things that would look odd in most western homes but it is colourful and a few hours pass quickly here.

Having been to the gold and spice souks I wish we had off came here first, some wonderful shops here, beautiful jewellery at reasonable prices, nice places to eat. If I were going back to Dubai I would visit here again.

It is great to walk around and explore the little shops over there or get a drink and enjoy some outdoors. The products are not that good if you have been to the far east local markets. It is kinda fake market for handcrafts but the place is designed in a nice way.

Could spent a day strolling around here. Lovely little shops with beautiful trinkets, jewellery, home ware, shoes, souvenirs, a hotel, coffee shops, restaurants, a river/creek. A definite must visit.

This place is not made for real shopping, however you can get very nice souvenirs. The style/decor of the building is what excited me, and what I liked the most. The view that you can get of the Arab Tower is very nice. The stores sell nice traditional wear and accessories. However, I found it my self is a bit... More

You know this is a very different shopping mall just by taking a look from the outside. Every effort has been made to make this look like an historic souk - and this trend continues with the interior furnishings as well. Intriguing mix of old and new, with a huge variety of shopping, and plenty of places to eat and... More

Very nice place to visit and shop for souvenirs but pricey. You get a feel of the market but it's indoors with AC. Love the architecture and design. Great place to explore and take souvenir photos and does not require a lot of your time to discover.

This place was a really interesting a maze of markets and shops next to the Burj Al Arab - I also took an Abra tour around the waterways which also formed park of a hotel. There was a section where they had turtles and I really enjoyed the mix of touristy souvenir stalls and more quality shopping.

Gosh how taken back I was by the sheer intrigue of an Olde Worlde shopping centre - there is so much attention to detail in all the architectural finishes that I was almost loathe to do shopping, preferring to just wander around taking it all in. Being there during Ramadan made it a little more difficult in terms of not... More
