Went to the Madinat Sou k today. It has a very classy feel to it in spite of the many tourist type shops. Some lovely restaurant s line the canal where one can also go on abra rides for a fee. Superb views of the Burj al Arab. We particularly enjoyed the views from the outside terrace of Costa while... More

Not a place for bargain hunting but great for sightseeing. Walk around the outside to get the full effect of the spectacular surrounding views- not free if you opt to travel by the gondola/Abra type boat which takes you around the river that runs through the souk. We visited just before New Years and they had a beautiful Xmas tree... More

All modern amenities and comforts have been incorporated into this souk that is located just next to Burj Al Arab, Al Qasr Hotel. Run by the good folk at Jumeirah, good for the promenade restaurants, especially Toscana

Really good artificial snow. Lots for the kids including ice skating more restricted for adults but the atmosphere made up for it. It was busy but you expect that as was for Christmas.

My husband and I love to frequent the Souk Madinat. Mostly for its variety of restaurants it has to offer (which are also mostly in the Entertainer) but also this place has a relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel like you are on leave (for those that live in Dubai). There are busy periods over the cooler months therefore it... More
