Gosh how taken back I was by the sheer intrigue of an Olde Worlde shopping centre - there is so much attention to detail in all the architectural finishes that I was almost loathe to do shopping, preferring to just wander around taking it all in. Being there during Ramadan made it a little more difficult in terms of not... More

Souk Madinat is definitely worth paying a visit - an Arabian feast for the eyes as well as great shopping. I bought a large selection of pashminas from India and Kashmir here - could not make a choice so i took all the ones i loved. Nice place for photography as the top part of the Burj AlArab appears around... More

I recommend the Souk to everyone, it's a very nice, classic arabian style building complex. The whole building is like a maze, for the first time it's easy to get lost :) I liked the detailed architecture very much! If you can, stay for dinner in one of the restaurants as the view of Burj Al Arab is very nice... More

We enjoyed our visit to Souk Madinat, however being Ramadan it was very quiet (almost NO visitors) and several souks were closed (we were there in the morning, we believe it comes to life after sunset).

It is placed in the arera of a very beautiful hotel with waterways. Unfortunately it is not possible to go around when you a not a guest, but it is possible to take a boat (exspensive) that will take you round the waterways. And it is not possible to go Down to the beach either.

Had great time walking around this souk. Not that big compared to the larger shopping centres but lovely to have a look around and stop for lunch. Visited it both times we went to Dubai.

This Souk is obviously aimed at guests from both The Jumeirah Beach Hotel & Burj Arab as its only a short walk from both of them but it does manage to offer what every tourist wants and thats souvenirs but they are all extremely overpriced and there isn't much room for negotiation unlike many of the 'real' Souks around Dubai... The palce is very beautifl, clean and very relaxed place to shop. The souq can offer different arab souveneirs and craft. Few restaurants are available on site where you can try arabic foods. A must visit in Dubai.

Perfect for a relaxed shop in a traditional Arab Souk. Smaller than the huge shopping centres so saves 'the legs'. Loads of stalls and shops with restaurants and great bars very close by. Waterways and gondolas make a lovely setting.

Such a beautiful, relaxed and serene place, lovely for couples as a very romantic or anyone to unwind and relax by simply shopping, visit a bar, fine dining or take a trip out on one of the boats on the waterways around the complex.
